the gardens are amazing and the attention to detail by DuPont is beyond belief, and the house is way ahead of its time. The gallery is nice and the tour is interesting.

Gorgeous place. Need a day to visit rather than a short period of time, but can get a reservation for a tour and a tram ride and possibly do a half day. The tours are different floors in different times. We toured fifth floor. I...More

This is a garden lover’s paradise. The grounds are beautifully maintained with many paths for those who love to take a leisurely walk. Serene and heavenly.

A cab ride from Wilmington's Amtrak station should take 15-20 minutes. It can drop you off at the Visitors' Center. (The cafe there is quite good.) There is a shuttle that takes you to the mansion.
