I was at Gordons Pond for an adventure race, but I will return for my own adventures. The paved trails were spacious and easy to navigate, and I particularly appreciated that they were not too hilly. (Really, I'd say flat, but if you are from...More

This is a beautiful well designed hiker/biker trail that goes through the wetlands and disturbed as little as possible. Just beautiful. Lots of pull outs to rest or bird watch. Does get crowded in the summer so go early. They plan to expand the trail...More

This is the 2nd time I have come to Cape Henlopen park. Beautiful. Love the trails. The beach. The peace and quiet. Absolutely wonderful place to visit.

Our 1/2 and Full marathon ran through this area and the views were just breath taking. It was very hard not to just stop and take in all that was going on. I will be back to walk around when we have more time

Interesting, scenic trail which was in good shape. The only negative was the parking fee during April when the entire parking lot was empty, double for out of state versus in state visitors. Understandable to a degree but why "bite the hand" that feeds your...More

I was viewing a number of shore birds. Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets and Dunlins. A Northern Harrier gave us a show. This is park of Henlopen State Park with great wide open traile appropriate for walking, biking and running.

Though there are no lifeguards, the sheer beauty of the sand and dunes make this a great alternative to the frenzied nature of downtown Rehoboth beaches. The only drawback is the cost of parking. But, if you bike in you'll enjoy the day for free!

We engaged a local photographer who suggested this location for photos. Was a wonderful suggestion. There are beach jetties, dunes and views of the old watch towers that make interesting back drops for family photos. We had never been to this spot so we would...More

A walk or bike ride here is always different and fantastic. Anytime of the year there's something unique to see. One of my favorite outdoor destinations

Yes, the surface is suitable for road bikes. In years past, there were some very rough segments, but they have been repaired.
