You get a little bit of everything at Cape Henlopen: forest, beach, bike trails, hiking, historical sites...and all of this just a few minutes' drive from two lovely beach towns, Lewes and Rehoboth. There's a nice little camp store where you can find essentials, including...More

Enjoyed a great day at the beach with the opportunity to have a craft beer at the big chill. Don’t miss one of the finest beaches on the east coast.

Stunning park with wonderful beaches and trails. It is well maintained and offers a variety of events during the year. One of Delaware’s treasures

The campground at the park has just recently been renovated. The sites are fairly level. There’s a decent number of pull-through’s. Lots of local history in the park relating to the protection of Delaware Bay in WWII. Many many miles of bike and walking paths....More

Even if you don't have a bike, you can borrow one fro free. There is a $10 fee for out of state cars, but it is well worth it. Highlights are WWII observation towers, big guns, pristine dunes and views of the Atlantic.

As a State Park, I would check their website and call the park. There may be certain rules on that. Good Luck to the two of you both though!
