I was in charge of setting up a weekend bachelorette party last weekend. I called Delmarva Board Sport to make a reservation for everyone to kayak. The person who took our call was so helpful, once she found out it was a bachelorette she spent 15 minutes telling me all kinds of things to do in the area without me even having to ask. When we arrived at the facility they had a gift bag for the bride which really made her feel special. Overall everyone was so nice and helpful and it’s located at a beachfront bar which was so much fun to go to after we kayaked. 10/10 recommend this place and will be back this summer when I’m there with my family for vacation!

The water sport and beer tour activities were great. However, the fishing excursion through the Angler Fishing Center was not enjoyable. If you book a package through Delmarva make sure that the fishing trip is not with that charter. The staff was not pleasant and extremely unprofessional.

Scheduling my lesson was smooth and personable. The actual lesson was very effective. I learned a lot. I had Windsurfed many years ago as a very beginner beginner. When I left my lesson I was likely as good or better than I was years ago. The location for the lessons is excellent with shallowater and a variety of conditions. The conditions varied from the starting point with the instructor and heading out a football field length into the open area with a stronger wind. I consider this training site to be superb. I was very happy with the equipment which was modern and easy to use.

We have SUP boards at home and have canoed a few times but since we had never kayaked, we decided to try the guided excursion. We were told the bay is very shallow and the wind was reasonable that day. Our guide was a half time snow ski instructor, half time kayak guide, named Will. We paddled across the bay to an island and back. There was not a whole lot of instruction aside from less than 5 minutes on the beach. We all did fine so that didn't seem to be a problem. We saw horseshoe crabs, turtles, osprey and heron. We were in tandem sit on top kayaks with back rests. They were comfortable. Wearing water shoes is imperative with the sharp shells and things in the water at the loading zone. George took some photos of us upon our return. I took a few while we were out there too. We paid for cold waters for after our paddle but I guess we all forgot about that! There are restrooms onsite at the restaurant attached. PFDs are provided.
