A great place for family gatherings, the animal barn is wonderful but it is the hiking trails you need to check out. Each trail has its own varied feel to it. All easy walking and even a trail designed for folks with visual impairments.

I love NW Park. We are lucky to have such a place in Windsor. It is an expansive park with a fenced in dog park, miles of trails that almost anyone can walk, an animal barn that houses Donkeys, Goats, Sheep, Turkeys and other animals,...More

Great place to walk, great playground and great fishing dock. There is a nice baseball field for local games as well as a pavilion to sit and picnic. Spent a lot of thine their when the grandkids were young.

Make the Northwest Park Fair a 'must attend' event in September. There's lots of activities for the kids as well as great food offered at reasonable prices.

Sometimes I feel as if Northwest Park is a hidden gem. Often on beautiful weekdays you'll find very few people there, although this free park includes hiking trails, an animal barn and nature center, playground, and picnic areas. This is a great place to take...More

Great place to take little kids for a fun afternoon. Park-like setting with a small number of animals to entertain the kids. Ample covered spaces for larger family/corporate gatherings. Nice hiking trails.

Back in the 1970's, the governing fathers of Windsor had the foresight to set aside this parcel of land as a municipal park. The park offers a multitude of things to do such as hiking on 10 clearly marked trails, exhibits such as organic gardening....More

we hike there at least once a month - grandkids love the animals in the barn - feels like you're not in Windsor but out in the woods. Good hike is the trail to overlook Rainbow dam.
