Went there almost by mistake after refusing to pay a fortune to park at Pointe du Raz. This really is a place not to miss. A really cracking headland, a walk across heather moors and high, craggy cliffs reminiscent of Scotland's Western Isles. The sea...More

A great place to visit in Finistere. It’s one of the westernmost points of Brittany. It’s not far from Point du Raz, which is the more famous, but also the more commercial. Here it was quiet and not overcrowded. It was overcast and windy, but...More

Not far from Pointe du Raz but much quieter and not touristy at all. The car parking is free and there are much fewer visitors. The coastal and cliff views are amazing and there are about three walking routes including the main coastal paths. You...More

The Pointe du Van has superb views and walks and way fewer tourists than the nearby and more famous Pointe du Raz. I have visited both and then next time I come here to bring friends, I will focus on the Pointe du Van (also...More

Cliffs that are located north of the better known Pointe du Raz. I personally prefer this one as it offers very nice walking opportunities, there are fewer people, it is not touristically exploited and parking is for free. Views are fantastic ; definitely recommended when...More

Ample parking, beautiful paths, quiet, nature, birds. There's also a small stone chapel. On the way to the Pointe, check out La Baie des Trépassés beach. Unlike the Pointe du Raz, there's no admission fee.

Pointe du Van is a magnificent site for appreciating the boulders that line the shoreline and nature's ebb and flow of the water. A stunning place to reflect.

Love this area, so pretty in spring and so open and wild the rest of the time. There is a wonderful little church on the cliffs that is dedicated to fishermen/Mariners. Usually open so you can go and look or sit or just feel holy...More

We visited the Pointe du Van and the Pointe du Raz in February right after a large storm. The views were spectacular and the waves huge! But when people say the wind can practically pick you up, they aren't kidding! Make sure to stay on...More

One of the most beautiful natural places I've ever seen. It was wet and windy today, but the sun shone through and made this an unforgettable day. We spent 2 hours hiking around the Pointe du Van - absolutely gorgeous.

The Pointe du Van is very close to the better known Pointe du Raz. We visited both, and we much preferred the Pointe du Van. Fewer people, less developed as a tourist site, and truly spectacular ocean views. You can park for free here as...More
