This submarine veterans memorial marker is not far from the Submarine Museum and should be visited. It is a somber reminder of the dedication and supreme sacrifices made by some for our freedoms.

A memorial to all the lost submarines and crews is very touching and makes you proud to be an American. The Submarine Service suffered the highest casualty rate per capita of any branch of our military in WWII. Say a prayer and shed a tear.
