We found upon arrival to the park to see fayerweather lighthouse it was a $50 charge for the day. Apparently there might be other things to do at this particular Park but we did not feel the need to pay $50 to walk to a lighthouse. What a bust on bridgeport's credibility to try to build itself as a likable town

Don't charge $50 Park admission to non Bridgeport residents. Our rental car had main license plates and they wanted $50 just to get into the park. Never got to see the lighthouse. Not a good policy if you want to build tourism.

Rocky walk in the afternoon Great place for a couple to sneak off to quiet peaceful great place to meditate relax and regroup the walk could be a little challenging due to the rocks but good exercise hoping to strengthen your ankles and your flexibility great photo opportunities

Our family visited this park to go see the lighthouse. It is a challenging walk, but worth the time. Children younger than 5 may have difficulties, though. The view is truly beautiful.

The most expensive lighthouse in the new England area. Rocks could be tricky for some with balance issues. Wear bug spray!!! You could picnic or go to the beach, we didn't. A good stretch after 4 hours in the car.

The walk out on the jetty is mostly flat but there are a few areas that are a little bit difficult. During our visit the mosquitos in the area were horrible. Also during the summer season there is a parking fee that varies based upon residency.

A wonderful walk out to the lighthouse, but be careful at the end where you need to climb down from the jetty a bit. NOT for tiny children, but a fantastic place to picnic.

Its great that this lighthouse has been cleaned up (again). Great walk on the jetty to get out to visit it. Views are spectacular. May be a challenge for tiny feet, watch out for pets too.

The Fayerweather Island Lighthouse is currently being remodelled but it is still a nice place to visit. It is a little bit of a hike going out to - mostly on large rocks. The rocks are interesting to look at because a lot of them have older dates printed on them, along with carved names and graffiti. I like to wonder if the people who carved out their name and their significant other’s names are still together. I hope so. I saw a lot of late 1960s and early 1970s dates.
The beach the lighthouse sits on has a lot of beautiful shells and some sea glass scattered about. It’s a good place to go for people who love lighthouses and want to get some good exercise in.

Very picturesque from a distance and a cool way across lots of flat stones to get there. Hight tides right up the the base of the lighthouse who knows how much longer this feature will be around? Hike it while you can.
