The boys, 7 and 3, loved the kids tubing and the mountain coaster. They each rode with an adult.
We rode the gondola from Lionshead late in the day. Kids ride fee with an adult. The top of the mountain is beautiful. The only downside is the cost of the mountain coaster. Steep.

Once you get up top, there are a number of family friendly activities, all manned by Vail Resorts employees. The little kids can tube down an easy, twisting slide. They have trampolines where the kids wear harnesses for safety as well as the famous coaster ride in the summer. Hamburgers and chicken sandwiches are available for purchase.

An absolute waste of money. They happily take your $129 per person but then provide barely half the services promised. Which makes the lines for the things that are actually working twice as long. They don’t have enough people selling the overpriced tickets. They advertise a discount for veterans but not for the all inclusive tickets. This place is a rip off. Don’t say you were not warned. For what we paid we could have spent almost two days at Disney World with full hopper passes. I have an adventurous family and all are disappointed. Never coming back to Vail in winter or summer.

There is lot to do for young and old and the Gondola ride is worth the trip. The views from the top are spectacular and I would highly recommend this adventure

My husband and I recently went to Vail. We had planned on doing tubing and riding the mountain coaster. The mountain coaster was not open (covered in snow). I do not know why it wasn't open. We rode the alpine coaster last winter in Aspen. It was very fun. The tubing is overpriced in Vail. We have done tubing in Breckenridge, Steamboat, Aspen, and Park City. They were all reasonable priced. The best tubing was actually in Park City. The tubing in Vail looked "ok." It is $46 for an adult (unlimited rides), and you also have to pay for the gondola ride to get up there, which is $46 for an adult. If you ride the gondola after 3:30, it is free. However, by the time you ride the gondola up and get ready for the tubing, you don't have a lot of daylight left. I think they do tubing at night too????? However, it gets really cold up there after the sun goes down. It just seems like a ripoff to us. So, we didn't do it.

My Son and I went on the Ski Bike Tour and we were certainly not disappointed, From Start to Finish we had a Great Time. If you enjoy thrill rides you will love this. I was such a Rush going down the slopes on these bikes.
We had 2 Great Guides in Tammy & Mac who helped make the experience complete.I would do this again no question.
Thanks again for the Great Experience

We had a great experience snow tubing! The favorite activity of our vacation for the entire family. The family loved that we booked at 4:30 pm because it allowed everyone to watch the sunset over the mountains while tubing. Really cool experience.
Concerning buying 3 runs or unlimited runs:
-both options are WAYYYYY over priced, but you can save yourself some $$$ doing the 3 run option. Our family bought the unlimited option and only went down the hill 5 times total. It just gets tiring and cold at the altitude.
I'm convinced that Vail is pricing snow tubing so high to cut down on demand and create a better experience for participants. It was really nice not waiting in lines, but as I said, you'll pay a premium price for a great experience.

Perfect afternoon activity to enjoy and
Take a break from skiing. The tubing hill was fun ... we did the unlimited pass and spent about four hours there. It’s near The Outpost
for hot chocolate treat post tubing. They also take pictures of you coming down the hill for purchase.

The adventure pack provides a variety of activities for all ages. It has a outdoor grill restaurant on the top. It was fun, but it is best to get there 1st thing in the morning because of possible afternoon showers.

Great way to spend your afternoon if you're not gonna ski some day. Went on high season and still, almost no standing in line. It's super organized! Great for families with kids.

Hi,
I wanted to know if the activities are only open for visitors lodging in the resort?
Or it is open for everyone? Thanks

I understand the lift is free after a certain time. Where do I get to the lift to go up to Adventure Ridge? Where do I park also?

Hey, we are going to Beaver Creek/ Avon this up coming x-mas. We have a 6 and 7 year old, is this place geared toward that age group? Also, any suggestions on places to go in the area around the holidays? My kids have never skiied or even seen snow, so I'm not sure how much skiing will be going on. We are staying for a week and really want to have a good experience. Any suggestions would be great!

My kids do not ski and one was injured at the time so at best it was a couple hours and that included we hitched a ride with a snow cat too.
If you ski- there should be plenty.

Do you have night tubing?
John D
Vail, CO
Currently the answer is no with our latest session ending at 7:00 PM and sunset being 7:20. However, you can always come up, do some tubing and see an amazing sunset from 10,350 ft above sea level!
Best time of year for optimal night tubing would be December through February. Once the time change hits we lose the night time tubing.

We have a group of 6 adults and 7 kids.....from 4 to late 40''s. If we buy the all day pass for each of them, are they able to do everything over and over if it's not crowded, or just one or two times each?

Taking a Day Trip to Vail. Thinking of tubing at Adventure Ridge. The main site states (for 1 hour) 3 runs for $40 or $70 unlimited runs. My question is...Are the runs really long and with the escalator is 3 enough or will you get many more runs for the $70 if you go non stop. With 2 teenage boys!!

Depends upon your definition of long. That said, if your boys are teenagers, I would go for the unlimited at $70. Pricey, but if you stay a few hours, they will enjoy it.

Is this correct? I have 3 kids (7,8 and 3) it's $69 for each kid which does NOT include the ride to adventure ridge $15 for each. So it's really $84 for each kid? And they charge m me to take them up @ 30 per adult . So for my parents and me it's $90 just to get my kids there and 84/ kid. So it's $342 for 3 small children?

Yes, there is a separate charge for going up on the gondola to Adventure Ridge. I have heard that after 4 o'clock the gondola ride is free, but it is something you ought to check on to be sure. We went during the summer just one week after it opened for the season. The place was empty and our kids simply got off one ride and ran back to the line, or did the activity over and over again. No waiting ever. We could't believe it. Adventure Ridge is NOT inexpensive, but I our kids had a GREAT time!!
Is it 27$ for one time Ip line. Do we need to buy other tickets. So for 4 people zipping it would cost about 115$ do 10 min ride?

I can't remember the exact pricing from last summer, but that sounds about right. The kids zip line is cheaper. You can also combine the zip line with other activities like the ropes course

how much does it cost to do the activities? We have an 11,12 and 14 year old. We are interested in snowmobiling, zip lining and tubing.
thank you.
