This place was outstanding. It exceeded our expectations. Exceptionally well designed. Easy access to gardens and to Vail.

Beautiful gardens and ponds, with lots of informational signs, and markers identifying the plants, flowers and trees. Just a short walk from the village. Free, but you are welcome to make a donation in the box.

Bite-sized. Pretty flowers in early August but disappointed not to see any hummingbirds. Small water features. Ample parking. Can walk down to stream. Right by amphitheater, tennis courts, and covered bridge.

The gardens have beautiful flowers, all nicely labeled. A nice stroll. A very nice children’s playground is close. Near the Bravo Vail performance area, too.

We visited on July 1st and it was simply stunning! The blooming flowers and water falls made the experience extra special. The benches along the paths are perfect for taking in the views, and the path along Gore Creek was a great place to put our feet in the cold mountain water on a hot day. We will definitely be back.

We parked at Vail Village since during shoulder season, it is free. Walked the short distance along the river, a very nicely maintained trail. It took us to the beautiful alpine garden. There is no fee, just suggested donation.
Took a leisurely walk through the entire garden. It is not very big, however, it is full of trees, flowers, and waterfalls/pond/bridges. Just a lovely way to spend the morning.
Lots of spring flowers were blooming already, which was a pleasant surprise. When in Vail, please do not miss this gem. They have a playground on site, lots of kids were enjoying the sunny day.

The grounds were covered in many feet of snow, but we experienced a lovely walk on packed snow trails. The Center has snow shoes to rent, but we did well wearing our boots. We stopped at the Center and the Representative answered our questions. Their displays were informational and the current theme was hand painted alpine floral displays. The bird feeder has brought Gerald (Ford), the wild turkey mascot out for daily visits. Admission is free, but donations help them with their programs. This also has playground equipment for the young ones!

This was a beautiful garden and it was free. I would highly recommend it if you like gardens and are in Vail Colorado

Are the gardens a good place to walk dogs? Thank you in advance...

Sorry. Not sure. Can’t recall if I saw any but dogs are everywhere in Vail. Paths are narrow though. There is a larger park outside the gardens. I would keep em out of the flowers imo.

How much time needed to see entire park with kids?

Colorado Springs, CO59 contributions
I agree with those who answered one hour. We did not visit with kids, but we spent about an hour in the park. I did not read every word of the interesting signs, but read enough to get the gist of them. The gift shop is wonderful and deserves a few minutes of browsing.(maybe without the kids).
Cost for garden tour?

Sorry Carol,
I have neglected my Trip Advisor duties.
The computer takes a back seat sometimes. Life is busy, busy, busy. As you see, the cost is free.
