A beautiful park that you can meander through. We went in October so it didn't have your typical flowers blooming but there was still plenty of greenery, beautiful aspens turning yellow and several flower plants still in bloom. We went during a rainstorm and it gave it a beautiful, idyllic atmosphere where we watched the raindrops make ripples on the ponds. All the trails are paved and there are opportunities to climb up little rock stairs to view other areas of the garden. Best of all, it's free!

Thank you for the kind review Rachel. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit. Rain in the Botanic Park is truly magical! We hope you can visit again in the spring and summer when more of the plant collection is blooming.

If you are looking for great scenery and a place to relax in the morning or afternoon I would say this is a great spot. A lot to take in and look at. The osprey nest is especially cool. Great photo opps!

We visited this park at the beginning of August and it still looked nice. There is an amazing amount of flora here and it is obvious that the volunteers really care. I actually went twice, once alone and once with my wife. My first visit was in the early afternoon and it was very hot (90+). Our second visit was in the morning and much more pleasant (around 75). My only complaint was that we didn't get to see the Osprey.

We are pleased you and your wife were able to visit the Park -- and especially in the morning when the temperature is cooler. Steamboat Springs experiences only a few days above 90 in the summer, we are sorry one of those days happened during your visit. The osprey couple typically sticks around until their offspring learn to hunt and feed themselves which varies every season but they typically are still around in August. We are sorry you were unable to see them during your visit.

My husband and I biked the Yampa river trail and threw in this park as a stop for that day. It is small, but pretty and relaxing.

We stopped there on way to airport and VERY glad we did. A wonderfull botanical garden with a variety of examples of local flora. Be sure to watch for the resident Osprey couple living in a nest site near the river.

Flowers were blooming! This was a very nice medium-sized botanical garden. Plants were clearly labeled, and early June is a great time to go.
