I've been up the Colorado trail via Little Molas Lake several times. Recently I took a friend from PA up the trail. I made sure she spent a few days acclimating to the area before we hiked. The first stretch is uphill and much to...More

Absolutely gorgeous. You will find yourself singing, "The hills are alive...." when you reach this pass. Plenty of room for parking and taking in the truly spectacular scenery. Mother Nature gets a five star review!

Great views here of the mountains and alpine meadows. Lots of parking, restrooms, and informative plaques. Great place to take a quick break on a drive along the Million Dollar Highway.

Our family camped out in the Molas Pass Campground and it was beautiful. They did some kayaking and caught fish. The best part, to me, was the scenic drive to and fro. Gorgeously breathtaking views on 550. My advise, have either a dash cam or...More

The views are breathtaking! The drive from Durango to the campground are spectacular. We need to install a dash camera and record that drive.

The views here are not to be believed. I've been here twice in the last week and just a slight change in weather can make the place appear so different. I highly recommend a stop.

There was about 1 foot of snow on the ground so it made for awesome views of the valley below. It was cold, but the wind was not blowing too much, so it was tolerable. Out Husky/Shepard mix dog loved the cold and snow, she...More

We stopped at Molas Pass while driving the Million Dollar Highway scenic byway (US550). There is a parking area with short, paved walkways to a viewpoint with educational signage. You are surrounded by towering mountain peaks and can see Molas Lake sparkling in the meadows...More

We drove up this pass to explore our favorite mountain range, the San Juans! High altitude and scenic mountain views of this young jagged range are awesome. Highly recommended even if you have to take the most dangerous road in Colorado- Red Mountain Pass!
