Within the city limits you can walk on a paved path along the Arkansas River. Just the thing to relieve the senses of too much consumer shopping in town (though it's pretty cool stuff here). The Riverwalk shows a side of the Arkansas that can't...More

Nice walk along the river and enjoy the Riverwalk Park. We just sat by the river and enjoying watching and hearing the river go by.

What a lovely park. I didn’t mind paying the extra tax to have such a wonderful park to visit. The city really did a good job with this area of town.

Beautiful park in historic downtown Salida that sits right on the Arkansas river. Well kept lawn and garden with lots of trees. Watch kayakers throughout the day or rent a tube and float down the river. Clean and cheerful playground and rock climbing wall. And...More

We have walked along the river and enjoyed a couple of concerts. The park area is small but has a great setting. There are benches where you can sit and enjoy the activity in or on the river. The path is wide which makes for...More

People were all enjoying themselves, the weather was splendid. We didn't get in the water, but lots of kids were enjoying themselves. I'd skip renting the tubes and just float myself. There are plenty of easy places to get in and out.

This a a very nice park with grass and huge trees. There’s benches and paces to picnic. There’s also a river walk that basically starts by the Boathouse Restaurant and runs under the bridge at F Street southward along the river for about a quarter...More

We visited on a hot day in the summer. The river was reportedly flowing low and the river was fantastic. We spent the whole day just hanging on the rocks. My 11 year old son got a huge kick out of jumping into the river,...More

Free public park with free concerts in the summer, and location, location, location, on the river right in the heart of downtown. Bring a blanket and a cooler and come linger in the shade for a while while the kids play on the newly upgraded...More

The river runs along the park. There are 4 or 5 places where the river drops and creates some whitewater. You can wade and swim in the calm water. The children will want to have life jackets if they want to float through the... More
