A relatively small museum featuring two hangars of historical displays and aircraft, open-air displays and a gift shop. It is located at the site of the former Pueblo Army Air Base, a primary flight training center for heavy bombers including the B17, B24, and B29....More
Years ago, as a kid, I saw the 3 old WWII planes in a dirt field at the airport.
Then we went out again a fews years ago to see the new and improved

One of the best experiences I have had. Always go to these whenever there is one where I am. The guide was fantastic- especially since I am retired from Naval Aviation! Great exhibits and family friendly!!! Was not expected for a find in Pueblo Colorado!

I"m not a big fan of airport museums, but I did like the one in Pueblo. We rarely miss one if there's one to be seen. At Pueblo they have a really nice video of a B-29 that I watched and found really interesting (I bought a copy for my husband's Christmas present). The staff was very informative and had some nice things to tell me about the area and aircraft in the museum while my husband was looking at the displays. We also visited the Peterson Aircraft Museum in Colorado Springs and had a wonderful docent lead us around the facility explaining all of the aircraft displayed.
