The wet mountains are wonderful. Cooler and wetter, they grow a bit more lush than other places up and down the front range. Beautiful trails, several lakes, pine trees and more pine trees, history, it is just difficult to describe the sheer beauty of this...More

Have a cabin in the San Isabel area so spend quite a bit of time in the area of the Wet Mountains. Lots of uncrowded hiking, Bishop's Castle, Lake San Isabel, etc.

Lovely drive through the Wet Mountains. Gorgeous colors, traffic allows for slower driving to see wild along the way. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We were looking for a trip that we hadn't done before and so headed south west of Pueblo to Wetmore and the Wet Mountains. We ended up doing the driving tour we found online and it was a pretty drive for a short 100+ miles.
