Dahican Beach is the first beach I go in mati city. Is is the best and memorable experience I've ever had. From its crystalline and bluish seas. From it's white and powdery sand that makes me feel to relax and stress free. It is very recommendable to people who loved surfings. Dahican has a big waves that surfer's would love to surf.

The water , sand and views are amazing. I was just sitting on the sand when the surf instructor asked me if Icam interested im learning how to surf. I said no because I am already 52 years old. He was so nice and convincing that I decided to try. The instructor was good, he was very patient and really enouraged me when I was scared.
The place is very beautiful. However, I was very dismayed that a lot of people jist leave their garbage anywhere. The local government should also provide garbage containers in different places.
Overall, I had a great time.

Extremely disappointed with Tropical Kanakbai resort, most especially its owner.

Our team of 20 doctors, teachers and therapists recently spent overnight at Tropical Kanakbai resort for our summer outing, and paid a total of Php 26,500 for the accommodation (1 villa, 3 cottages; no food included in the stay). Prior to check-in, we gave their booking team a heads up that we might have 5 guests (2 adults and their kids - ages 7, 5 and 1 yr) drop by. We paid their demanded 1k each (total of 5k additional) with a caveat that we would like to negotiate as they only stayed for 1 hour to just talk to us.

After numerous appeals to their “booker” and in-house personnel, we were given the mobile number of the owner an hour before checkout.

Definitely a disappointment. Supposedly, we cannot possibly have them create new rules for 1 minute visit vs 30 mins vs 1 hour etc - very difficult for them to manage! And that they need to pay for their personnel, utilities, etc.

We were not even asking for complete waiver of the 5k fees. But 1k each is still excessive. There was no additional effort and expense from their end for the 1 hour visit of our guests.

As we were about to leave the property, one of their in-house personnel approached and gave us 1k. Not even an explanation, apology whatsoever via call/text/messenger. Paying us an amount to basically shut us up? We did not accept the money.

By the way, nothing exceptional about their accommodation and facilities. During our entire stay, no in-house personnel approached our group if we needed any help. No one replies in their “official” communication channel - FB messenger - after 3PM. If you arrive earlier than their 2pm check-in time, you will have to wait outside their main entrance even if previous day’s guests would have checked out already by 11am - because rules are rules. Any exception to their rules, you will have to wait forever before the decision maker - the owner - allows you to contact her.

Talk about customer service, eh?

The place offeres a great relaxation. Though I wasn’ ablento fine a resort, bacause it was close due to under rennovation or some are not follwing safety protocool, but still I can manage to find an alternative. I went to the last part of resort because I don’t want leave the beautiful scenery the white sand of the shore and the clear salt water. But yes! It is a complete success for my short trip. Therefore if ever you’ll experience this do not just go home find a solution!
Have fun!
Keep safe everyone!

I live nearby on the beaches of Panglao, so white beaches won't excite me anymore. But when I visited this beach, it was like I was visiting a beach, like a kid, for the first time. Maybe because I really like watching the big waves hitting the sand area that got me pumped up, but to tell you, the view of the long stretch sand and the passing by of Cesna plane makes you feel like you're living in Miami.

1. One of the best go-to-places to surf since it is not overrated. Surf instructors are so kind and accommodating. You'll definitely surf like a pro. Will surely visit this place again.

Dahican beach is fantastic! I went surfing and my instructor was brilliant! Thanks Juan! I enjoyed the adrenaline rush and he was really patient with me. The colour of the water was out of this world! The resorts were not as good as other resorts but the people were lovely. Amihan resort is just basic, no cottages, just tables and chairs but you can rent a tent if you want. You can order food there as well but we didn't as we've already been to another resort for lunch. I will definitely go back for more surfing @ Amihan resort in Dahican beach.
