We overheard a conversation about getting off of I 70 before the big tunnel and going over Loveland Pass instead. We decided to do just that. It was a brilliantly sunny day and we took our time going over the pass, stopping a many of...More

If you have the time this is a pleasant alternative to driving through the super busy Eisenhower Tunnel. Not much traffic on the pass but there were a few semis coming down that were not allowed through the tunnel. Road is plenty wide enough for...More

Lots of opportunities for photos going up or down the pass with several pullout spots available. Don't be surprised if you see large oil and gas trucks doing the pass since they are not allowed through Eisenhower Tunnel and this is the way around. Wouldn't...More

What a great place to stop on the way to Keystone. Beautiful scenery. The one thing to keep in mind is I did notice the 12K altitude when I got out the car and walked around.

What a great overlook. You know you have driven over mountains after you come here. Beautiful vistas from every direction. Watch for the mountain goats crossing the road.

Visited in February so the snow was still deep. We loved the pass view though even in the snow. The out of bounds skiers were super cool to see as well. Short detour from Keystone back to the interstate. We came out right by the...More

It's windy any time of year, but we went up in April and it was just above freezing. It's a cool spot and if you have the extra time to drive up to the pass it's a pretty cool trip.

We enjoyed the Loveland Pass. It was a relatively short pass, and it wasn't as tight as some of the other drives in Colorado. We really enjoyed the scenery. Stopped at some pullouts for pictures. Really loved the area in Dillon with the lake and...More

The Continental Divide needs no explanation. If you are in the area of Loveland Pass you must go and stop the car to take it all in. The beauty of the area and its panoramic views will take your breath away. ( and at 11,990...More

This was a nice windy drive through the valley up to the mountain top and continental divide. There are 2 trails which we did hike a little, which are very easy to find on either side of the road with parking available. On the east...More

Gorgeous views and definitely worth the short drive from Dillon or Keystone. There is nothing there to break the wind, so bring warm clothes!

I recommend Loveland pass there and Eisenhower back. Make sure to stop on the top of Loveland to enjoy the views and take pics. There will still be snow there and it's always windy and colde so have warm clothes. Enjoy!
