My kids, 5 & 8, both really had fun looking for the hidden items and got a cool little toy at the end. The gift shop had some neat gifts also.

With so many entertainment choices today coming from a flat screen this is a chance to see things in real life. Trains have come from many people from many places. Children 3 to 10 where mesmerized by the reality of it all

The main layout in the museum is in fact HO scale which is a 1:87 ratio. The museum also has an O scale and a G scale layout and we are working on a small N scale one that was recently donated.

They have a game for the kids where they need to search for items, that can take about an hour. There's plenty to see in a smaller place, about 7000-10000 square feet, a few hours should be enough time.
