This is a wonderful trail for nature lovers, along the Cascade Creek. Eventhough the road is bumpy, you can drive up to the parking lot (about 1 mile from the main road) and save your energy for the hike. There are no directions along the...More

Beautiful hike to several waterfalls (early summer). Well used trail, including horses, so be sure dogs are under control.

I don't usually write anything, blogs or books or posts, unless I think there's something new or clarifying to say from what is already out there. The distances and descriptions I've read across the web don't always distinguish whether the hiker took the east (right...More

We thought this was a bit harder to find than expected.. but It was so worth the search! It is beautiful. Don't mix this up with Cascade Falls, not the same place !

A challenging hike for mid summer for sure. With 40 minutes total of rest throughout the trip, total time was 6.5 hours. The waterfall views are worth it, and the best one is last. Recommended to go to the top of 150 foot falls if...More

We did a 10 mile hike along Cascade Creek. It was a beautiful trail. The guide book we had told us to cross the creek, which was impossible. Thankfully we ran into some other folks, who told us that we didn't have to cross the...More

We have gone on this trail in the spring and in the winter. Flowers/trees/grasses/scenery are beautiful in the spring. Great easy/moderate place to snowshoe or cross country ski. Quiet, secluded with very easy access.

We had a wonderful time on this hike today. It wasn't too hard, but lots of beautiful scenery to admire. Overall, it took us about 3 hours to do. The road up is treacherous, so make sure you have the right type of vehicle.

Beautiful scenery, flowers, and waterfall. An easy hike for a family and dogs. We were the only ones hiking (at least we never saw anyone else) this particular day so was very peaceful as well.

This is an easy way to see waterfalls in Colorado. Expect to get your shoes wet and for it to take a moderately paced hiker to take at least two hours. Not very challenging and would be good for kids.

To get to main trailhead, yes. There is a parking area though at the old lumber mill, where the tracks cross the road. That will add about 1/2 mile one way to the trail length. Up to that point, will still be bumpy, but 4x4... More
