I live in Colorado but in the high country so when I go to Denver, it is as a visitor. My husband and I were recently in Denver and took his parents, who were visiting from Chicago, with us to the Denver Zoo (this was...More

I always compare zoos to my hometown Bronx Zoo. Overall I enjoyed my visit even though I still think Bronx Zoo is nicer. The lion exhibit and feeding was fantastic as well as the giraffe exhibit being special. It is worth the trip.

Lovely even on a busy weekend. It was crowded, but the crowds were moving pretty well so it wasn't too bad. There were lots of keepers and volunteers stationed at the different exhibits to answer questions, and several of them had fur samples or skulls...More

Very good layout. Well maintained. The staff was very gracious as we waited out a hailstorm. The bear and mountain goat habitats we're great and the staff very engaging. Good family experience. The value is best during the week.

The zoo is smaller than others I have been to. However, you can see and feel the care for the animals. The exhibits appear to be well spaced and well maintained. The atmosphere is nice and...relaxing. I was alone, doing my day's walking. IT didn't...More

We walked the entire zoo and really enjoyed the baby giraffe, aquarium with bats, elephants, polar bear, llamas, hippos, and the gift shop is full of great finds!

We visit the zoo every time we are in town. Always something new and exciting. Visited on 04/28/18, which was a perfect day to be out. Crowded but worth the visit. Purchased tickets on-line prior to visit so that sped up the entry time.

My husband and I visit many zoos. We have visited some of the best such as the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, L. A. Zoo and many more. That being said, we had a lot of zoos to compare the Denver Zoo...More

We just went and took our toddler grandchildren and had a wonderful time! There are numerous places to rest and quite a bit of shade. The zoo is well laid out so you can easily get around and even choose to see one half of...More
