We decided not to go on the tour due to the high prices. We looked around the location and watched others that were panning for gold. We didn't see anyone find anything the entire time we were there. The panning area is small. I was...More

What a great tour of a Colorado mine! We learned about the life of miners, the ruthlessness of mine owners and the history of the area around Breckenridge. Thanks to Ronnie from the Breckenridge Historical Society who knows the history of the area, we were...More

Fun for the kids to find gold. Both found a little and thought they were millionaires. Requires a bit of focus to sift through the pans but interesting adventure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Gordon, our tour guide, was a wealth of information and personality. The "mine" is a well-done recreation. Yes, you can view equipment outside without the tour, but the info from the tour is well worth the price and time.
