I loved the canyon area and scenery, but it is rustic with a capitol R. Driving in and out feels more like trespassing on private land, with no guarantee you'll be able to pass or get back out. Not for delicate, low riding vehicles, you...More

An amazing park. Easy to find - the road ends into the park. Of note, the road turns into packed dirt about a mile before the park and remains that way into the park. $8 daily fee or Colorado yearly state pass required. Recommend driving...More

My friend had a stroke 2 years ago and doesn't get out in nature much. The drive to the canyon was beautiful but what was most important to us is that Eldorado Canyon State Park had a trail that was handicapped accessible. It was Fowlers...More

Attempted and completed the eldorado trail. It started off quite pretty steep and challenging but it eventually flattens out. On our way out, we encountered folks who attempted and did not get past the initial climb. Dogs allowed on leash, but would not recommend as...More
