Situated in the heart of an energetic city is beautiful, historic Downtown Boulder. At the heart of Downtown Boulder is the Pearl Street Mall, a wonderfully charismatic four-block-long pedestrian mall that celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2007. Colorful, bright flowers fill the mall almost the entire year and street performers, with a multitude of talents, make the Pearl Street Mall one of the best people-watching destinations anywhere.

Free spirits hanging out here in the summer give the place a uniquely Boulder feel. But just like some of them, it's getting a little tiring.

If you like popping into little shops, art galleries and discovering little this and thats, then this is the place for you. Husbands may prefer to read a paper at one of the many coffee shops or, people watch from the benches in the square,...More

We visit this open air mall frequently during summer time. Lot of restaurants there. Recently noticing lot of homeless people staying there. Not as clean as before.

Unique in every sense. Entertainment on the street, benches to rest your weary bones and great places to eat. The Trolley ride is free and it gets you to where you'd like to go....especially when you're tired. Walking is good but it can be overwhelming.

Strolling Pearl Street is one of my favorite things to do in Boulder, whether with the kids, my hubbie or solo. It is quintessential Boulder with its unique flair and flavor (a little like Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, California but cleaner with more vegetation). The...More

Pedestrian mall stretching across several downtown blocks. The essence of Boulder - restaurants, coffee houses, clothing stores, art stores and galleries and the Peppercorn store. Don't miss buskers' shows in the Summer.

This is a fun spot, with musicians often playing on the mall, and some fun stores and restaurants.

We can't go through Boulder without stopping in this unique and fun shopping area. The open-air Pearl Street Mall is about three blocks long and is limited to pedestrian traffic, with the exception of north-south cross-roads through the mall. Whereas most malls have all the...More
