We stumbled apon this mountain while looking for Flatirons. We drove up to the top and what great views of Boulder and the surounding mountains. It was so peaceful and quiet. They have a senory walk for the impaired.
We walked around the nature center and then down to the amphitheater. There was a wedding going on! What a great venue.
This is a nice trip up the mountain if you have time. Unfortunitely we did not get to hike around.
Parking was a little crazy. Luckily we had $5 so we just put it in the envelope.

Nice drive up the mountain with scenic views as you go and a few stopping points where you can look over Boulder.

Some long-time Boulder residents gave me a tour of the city that was highlighted by a visit to Flagstaff Mountain. Almost visited on my own the following evening trying to get the perfect view of the Boulder Star

There is a small fee for cars and the drive up is twisty, but everything about the park is outstanding. Wander the top for all the views and try to see a show at the ampitheater. Beautiful day and night!

We drove up to the summit and paid $5 for a day of parking. The drive alone was beautiful but the views from the top were incredible! Boulder recently had a big snow and it was beginning to melt. It made it a little difficult to navigate on foot and it made me nervous how close young teenagers were getting to the edge, but all was well. We did see several park rangers during our visit and that was comforting.

Fantastic Hiking. You even get to go downhill but remember, you will have to come back up the hill. Try the Gregory Canyon Trail.

My hubs insisted we drive up this mountain. All along stops and views forever. Watch out for bicycles. People were also walking crossing the road.

Went up to Tenderfoot trail with family last week and it was well worth the short drive from downtown Boulder. We drove up at 10AM and parking lots were starting to clear out. By the time we left about noon, parking lots were only half full. Loved the views and trails were well maintained. At least later in the morning, I drove as slow as I felt comfortable driving and felt no pressure to go faster.

Drove waaay up to get to the Tenderfoot Trail. Easy 1.5 mile out and back and some really incredible views. Plenty of parking, trail was well-marked. Recommend for people who want to get outside but aren't conditioned to more strenuous hiking.
