We always take our friends from out of town here. The garden is 16 acres in a 650 acre plus estate. It is nicely landscaped and surrounded by glorified farmland. The house is nice for an idea of how the wealthy lived in the early...More

Second time here and just FABULOUS!! Take the one hour house or garden tour. Definitely walk the one mile horse trail. Restaurant on the property is top notch. HUGE portions and reasonable prices

Beautiful grounds. The mansion itself is interesting and for anybody old enough to remember the t.v. show Dynasty it will look familiar. But, the star of the show are the outside gardens. Really beautiful and worth going to in the springtime especially.

Visited Filoli on a whim in early July. Plenty of free parking. Entrance was around $15 for students. We started by watching the video history of the place, then toured the house (took about 50 minutes) and explored the gardens (another hour, but could have...More

You have more than one attraction here: the mansion itself and the gardens. The mansion is historic and the tours are very good, assuming you have an interest in this period of American wealthy homes. It's modeled, I'm told, after Muckross House in Ireland, so...More

It is far from Butchart Garden in Victoria, and not as large as Huntington Library in LA, however, it is definitely worth a visit during spring. Every year, volunteers planted the garden with different unique type of tulip flowers that painted Filoli to the idyllic...More

The mansion and the grounds were very well kept and lots of flowers in season. The property was huge but only a small portion is manicured and used. It was a nice short visit. Interesting history and story. The peacock greets.
