Went here on a sunny January day and had a very nice hike...not too far and easy for all ages. Take the Picnic Rock turn on the trail and enjoy really nice Tahoe views...and bring a picnic,

Quick route in the Northstar region, able to keep it short or as lengthy as your ability allows. Good vistas are within easy distances.

I walked this trail and really enjoyed it, I'm not a hiker so it was really a walk not a hike, I went in about 2 miles and some of it you can see and hear the street. Because I was alone I liked that...More

This trail was established maybe 20 years ago in honor of one of the Northstar residents killed on his bicycle while riding on 267. It goes all through Northstar and Martis Valley. Well maintained.

This trail is Great for hiking local through Northstar and experiencing the Sierras up close and personal. My start point is Northstar, you'll get in some hiking with great views of the Martis Valley & the Northstar golf course for starters! a Nature Lovers dream!

Great meadow hike just past the golf course and Northstar heading towards the airport on 267. Martis Creek meanders through the property. Great views of the backside of Northstar. Mostly flat with some marshlands. Link to trail map. http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=80d7d3026f8646f5851ac3eb9e3102c9&extent=-120.1385,39.2819,-120.1025,39.2981
