Hiked with the family. Fairly easy hike for all. I highly recommend continuing past the falls to the lake. Make sure your wearing a swim suit so you can enjoy the lake!

This was a great hike! Parking is limited so get there early if you can (which also helps with the crowds)- we got there at 8a. A quick hike up to a bridge over the falls and a swimming area, then a moderate hike up...More

The Eagle Falls Trail Trip Advisor selection incorrectly has a weblink to the Eagle Lake trail in South Lake Tahoe. Two different addresses are provided, one in Tahoe City and one in South Lake Tahoe. Very confusing!

This was the favorite activity of the week for our group of 5 adults on a Monday morning. The hike was easy up to the waterfall bridge and natural pool. Gorgeous views! Families with young children had no problem getting to the Falls and then...More

This little trail was really easy to walk which was great in the summer heat! Definitely suitable for kids. It’s not far to the falls and is so pretty. The falls themselves are stunning and you can get some amazing pictures round there. Be aware...More

The hike to the falls is very easy. Continuing on to Eagle Lake requires a lot of steps and was a good moderate workout, but well worth the view. People of all ages seen on the trail and dogs too.

The trail head is easy to miss when driving. Limited parking and then a pleasant though somewhat steep climb up. The reward: a stunning panorama of the Lake!

A short hike & worth going up to see! There were also lots of picture spots & although it was somewhat steep at times, we loved it! Do NOT wear sandals!!

My family hiked the falls and lake recently, and we had a good time. The kids swam in the lake to the little island. We parked at the emerald bay parking area. Pack water, snacks, and sunscreen. Definitely worth the haul! Go early, as parking...More

No permit required. If you are just going down to Vikingsholm and then to the Eagle Falls viewpoint you don't need to do any paperwork. If you are going up the mountain from the parking lot then you are supposed to fill... More

Hi, I believe the Eagle Falls parking lot had envelopes to pay for the parking on your own with no attendant. I'm not sure of the cost which means it wasn't very much. Maybe $5. If you can find a spot in the small lot it... More

We were there last November. Trail and parking lot were both accessible, but bathrooms were locked for the season. I think the trail beyond the falls, to Eagle Lake, was closed, but Eagle Falls was open.
