Gorgeous view at the Falls. I climbed up the left side of the falls instead of taking the traditional route much much faster but would not Recommend it unless you're experienced hiker/climber

If you're at Emerald Bay and doing the walk down to Vikingsholm, add an extra 45 to 60 minutes round trip for this beautiful detour. Best time of year is usually May to July depending on the snow level. A nice walk thru the woods...More

Eagle falls trail has an upper and lower falls. The lower falls is reached from the Emerald Bay road on the lakeside north of the falls. It is a relatively steep trail down. The falls can also be reached from the Vikingsholm area around Lake...More

This is a short, easy hike that is fabulous in summer and with light snow this year even better in winter. The main problem is the parking - come early or late, mid day is a nightmare.

I could not have been happier with the Eagle Falls Trail. It's an easy hike and amazingly Scenic all the way. You could do the round trip in less than 2 hours if you're in a hurry. Or, you can hang out at Eagle Lake...More

This is a BEAUTIFUL hike with fantastic views of Lake Tahoe (esp. Emerald Bay), and--bonus--a large, rocky waterfall! (That being said, if you're ONLY interested in the view, go across the street and park in the lot for the Vikingsholm trailhead--views are less obstructed there.)...More

This is off season right now, but the trails are accessible. The bathrooms are closed, so be sure to go ahead of time. You can hike a loop and also to a bridge that is over falls and a creek. It's less than a mile...More

As others have stated it can be difficult to find a place to park but if you do find a spot it is well worth the stop. Hike to the falls, then continue up a little higher and you will have great views of Emerald...More

DISCLAIMER: I have never been on this hike. Why? There is never anywhere to park your car. There are so many beauuuuutiful places in Lake Tahoe, this one is cramped and over-run with other tourists. Do yourself a favor and find a nice hike off...More

Easy hike, very well marked trail, with a huge bonus of a very picturesque view of Eagle Lake at the end. One of the prettiest hikes and lake I've ever seen. Very worth the trip. Parking is difficult and be sure not to park in...More

Hi, I believe the Eagle Falls parking lot had envelopes to pay for the parking on your own with no attendant. I'm not sure of the cost which means it wasn't very much. Maybe $5. If you can find a spot in the small lot it... More

We were there last November. Trail and parking lot were both accessible, but bathrooms were locked for the season. I think the trail beyond the falls, to Eagle Lake, was closed, but Eagle Falls was open.
