The visitor center has very knowledgeable staff and always welcome visitors. Their information is accurate and tailored to your questions. They provide local maps, information and also sell souvenirs. Worth a stop as you come into town to learn what's happening on any given day.

We stop by after visiting the dam and rather surprised what we found. Besides providing some tourist information, saw some great photographs but would be hard to take back on the plane. Purchased a sweet 2018 calendar instead.

This is one of the most convenient and well-stocked visitor centers anywhere. The staff are awesome, the facility is brand new, and the bathroom is clean. Even if you've been to Tahoe before, stop here.

This center, at the "Y" in Tahoe City, has a very good assortment of both free literature and maps as well as books and maps for purchase. There is also a section of locally made goods, for purchase. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The ladies here gave great recommendations, from things to do with my 10 year old boy here in Tahoe, to restaurants for a cheap eat, to great dessert places. And they do this with a smile! We literally plan our visit based on their suggestions...More
