I love this little treasure, from the outdoor geology “trail” of 100 pound rock samples to the mammoth bones and the great Death Valley history books for sale. Did I mention the lady working the day we visited? I could have chatted with her forever!...More

Its small but its packed with a lot of information. A little bit of this and that, plus fossils. When you are in Shoshone everything is a few steps away so take the steps to visit. And oh make you look at all the "artifacts"...More

We stopped in here quite by accident after breakfast (also serendipitous) at the Crowbar next door. What a treasure trove of local information! The outdoor display of artefacts is riveting. Best of all is John, the curator (?). He took the time to mark up...More

The staff of this tiny museum is so helpful and friendly. The displays informative and the gift shop is great. Definitely worth stopping in for hints on places to go in the area other than the obvious - Death Valley.

Great place for getting ideas for sites to see and get travel souvenirs. Picked up book on embroidering desert flowers.

You don’t need to put aside too much time, and it’s free (donations welcome), but it’s worth the visit. Some interesting displays of local history including on prohibition, mining and Native American lives.

Looked around briefly one morning in mid Nov. Not keen to be indoors in nice weather, might have stayed longer otherwise. Free to enter, donations welcome. Interesting artefacts outside as well. Would possibly visit again if returning to the area.
