We really liked the pier, the views were lovely and there’s lots going on on the pier. The children enjoyed the arcade. The ice creams etc on the pier are very expensive so we didn’t buy too much.

Boardwalk is full of street performers and gift shops. Tourist trap but nice to see at least once. Great for people watching.

The pier itself is iconic and a must if you’re visiting Santa Monica Beach. Shops are quite expensive, But take a look at the last shop from Route 66 at the end of the pier.

The Santa Monica Pier was very busy with numerous people busking or selling their wares. Beautiful sunset is to be experienced. A must to visit together with a stroll along the beach.

I went there with my family at night and although a little apprehensive at first, it was definitely worth it. The atmosphere was great, the rides cheerful and very cute little stalls.

Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a
balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a
thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers,
roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the
famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles
weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa
Monica pier spins high above the water, while park
revelers scream with delight riding the roller
