A very romantic place to visit in the evening. There's a really cool atmosphere. It's worth getting on a huge wheel (although it's not very high) but it's still fun

Very busy but had lot's happening. Enjoyed Mexician bar at end of Pier, needed beer on a hot day. Good experience.

the pier is definitely a to do in LA... its a blast.. interesting people doing stuff on beach and the pier has a amusement park.. its touristy but on weekends lots of locals go there too.. bext lunch place and value is "Albrights" right on...More

Its a nice walk down Santa Monica Pier lots of people though. We stopped off at the amusement park. Save you money. Everything seems a bit tired and cheesey, but I think it is more suited to the little kids rather than the big kids....More

Really enjoyed our walk along the pier. Proper old fashioned entertainment. Loved looking at the old carousel and also the roller coaster and big wheel although didn't go on any of them. Several choices of restaurarants and generally a really good ambience. Great views aping...More

I am not sure but there is a Pacific Park located on the current Santa Monica Pier which has rides and such.
