Local hangout on the beach not tending to be crowded or touristy. Just a good spot to hang out and chill out.

On the east side of the Santa Cruz Harbor, this long sandy beach is relatively clean and busy with many families. For more quiet, walk past the cliff at the east side, until you are on the beach near the Live Oak area, far from...More

Local favorite for people who live in that area, it could also be good if you do not have a car to drive to Rio Del Mar, which is a better actual beach. Twin Lakes is walking distance to the nearby yacht harbor, which has...More

I live close by and when the tides and low and beach build up is right I have walked from Moran/26th Avenue beach to twin lakes. Mu dogs love it, too. If you have dogs go early.

We went to Twin Lakes State Beach. Its a pretty park by the Paciic Ocean. In the evening, people were having camp fires. Everyone seems to have a good time here.

We had been kind of crowded in Santa Cruz. At first it was ok because we were entertained by surfers and volleyball players but we wanted a spot to sit and relax and enjoy the waves. We finally found a very decent spot. Not much...More

This beach is 2 blocks from my house and I go there daily. Not as crowded as some of the other beaches. Limited parking, but a large beach.

One of the only beaches with fire pits. A nice big beach although you need to buy a parking permit during summer months. Nice to relax and have fun.
