This park has incredible cliff sea views. If you can walk around your local Mall two or three times you are ready for this adventure. If not bring your bike. The trail is absolutely flat. Warning signs prohibit drones, horses and dogs. Mountain Lions are...More

Wilder Ranch State Park has a flat pavement and is great for an easy walk along the Pacific Ocean. Trail is a piece of cake to follow. I highly recommend the park for all ages.

I live near Wilder Ranch and have been visiting here for 20 years.... Miles and miles of trails, from the coast up to the ridge line six miles inland. Rolling meadows and California Oaks.... Amazing and beautiful. Want to get away from it all and still...More

We visited on July 4th so were part of a special holiday celebration. Not sure what happens on the other 364. Long walk (on mostly level but rutted ground) to the ocean viewing area.

We stopped by this historical ranch (dairy) while cruising up HWY 1 from LA to San Francisco. Did not know this California State Park existed until we stopped for ice cream at the Mission Hill Creamery in Santa Cruz. Off-offhandedly we asked our server what...More

We passed by this park on our way home. We did not have enough time to explore the whole place. We went to the dairy farm. Reminded us of how life was long time ago. Quiet simple rural life with beautiful view. Good place to...More

Nice place for a hike, but we thought we would eventually get to the beach. Not so. Guess we should have read more closely.

Wilder Ranch is a great place to go for a hike or a mountain bike ride. Follow the trail along the shoreline, or up the hills above the coast. This is where to MTB. For extra credit, check out the old 19th century farm buildings...More

Wilder Ranch state park, reminds me of 12 apostles in Australia. You can find pristine beaches - Three mile beach and four mile beach, sea lions resting on the rocks, crashing waves and hidden caves . A true gem in Santa Cruz :)

We took the walk to the fern grotto and as I remember there really didn't appear to be anyplace to walk along the beach let alone ride horses. It is a very rocky coastline, at the bottom of a cliff mostly.
