Visited the Arboretum when I have a mid afternoon break from working around the house. Perfect day. What a joy to walk through this arboretum. Great hummingbird spot. Each section was better than the previous one. Will definitely go again. Can't wait.

Few people for a large area. Theme areas for South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Take your time, keep on the lookout and you'll see plenty of fauna with your flora.

Great stop off during drive from San Francisco to Monterey. Hummingbirds everywhere plus great view of a hawk and quail. Staff friendly and helpful.

A trip to UCSC Arboretum offers one an excellent view of the Monterey Bay, a great selection of Proteas, and if you are lucky many hummingbirds. Small fee for parking.

If you aren't able to travel the world to see these exotic plants in their native settings, this has to be the next best thing. Wonderful specimens from South Africa and New Zealand make for quite an adventure. I would appreciate better identification and more...More

Walking around the park taking in all the beautiful (and different) flora (I'm from the east coast) we were surprised by the presence of (and he wasn't shy) a lovely 8 point buck. The arboretum is wonderful; they also have a small but comprehensive gift...More
