We enjoyed both of our classes but they were very different. It was difficult from the descriptions to figure out the intensity. This is a common problem at yoga studios. You need to try out classes to figure out what fits you.

Was friendly but not overly so. If I was moving here I would try out other studios before deciding.

My husband and I decided to take a yoga class while visiting Santa Barbara. This studio has a great location being just one block off State Street. The lobby has a nice feeling with many interesting books, big windows, high ceilings. Our class was in a large room with a nice wooded floor. I most treasure classes that help me discover something new about myself. The class was accessible and challenging and I learned new ways to do poses. It felt wonderful to move after a day of driving.

We were in town and just hiked 26 miles over two days. We really needed a good yoga class and found many options at Yoga Soup. We decided on a restorative class which is just what we needed after our miles of hiking. They had mats to use, but no towels, so you might want to bring your own.

My daughter and I were visiting from out of the country and really wanted to take a yoga class together. We chanced upon this wonderful place and fell in love with it. We took a level 2 90 minutes class which was great. The staff were very warm and welcoming. I only wish I could go here every day!

While in Santa barbara i was lucky and had the chance to take 2 different yoga classes with my step son, they were very hard, and had hard sequencing. i enjoyed the different teachers. i do have a negative thing to say..it was boiling hot...too hot for me. i lost concentration when i have water dripping my eyes and nose. I was destracted , to say the least..
the teachers led great classes and i fell much better after their instruction.

Great experience at Yoga Soup! Good 1 hr 15 min class. The teacher was talented and the studio was in very good shape. Nice lobby/gift shop area as well.
The class size on this particuliar day was small - just 3 other students and the teacher did a great job with adjustments throughout class. Easy access from State Street. I would go again without hesitation!

Great studio for yoga and not just exercise. Sunday morning class by owner Eddie Elner was real yoga. Yes we did basic asanas and I did get my heart rate up. But the words he said, the focus on the breath, and the balance between asana and philosophy was a rare experience in yoga studios. They have many teachers that can teach many different styles and there are classes through out the day. Parking was a little difficult with street parking for 75 minutes and classes for 90 minutes plus.
