My sister and I visited here and really enjoyed it. Not very big but calming and peaceful. Parking costs but not horribly expensive

I had some time to kill before flight so I decided to check this place out. I wish there was a sign that notified you that the garden is still under renovation. I paid $6 for parking to look at a dried up reservoir. The...More

There was not any water in most of the park. It would have been a really lovely park had they had water in the ponds. It is a super cool concept. Be wary as there isn’t free parking. You have to pay a parking fee...More

The gardens are undergoing repairs following a flood, so many of the ponds are either drained or have low water levels and, consequently, are algae-filled. One pond still has some giant koi, but it's not enough to warrant a visit.

In 2017 the Japanese Friendship Garden was underwater from San Jose’s Coyote Creek flooding. Koi fish were found blocks away at the golf course. Electric power to the park is still off which means the pond pumps are not working. Only one of the three...More
