You can drink your wine there, have a bite to eat and relax. Now in the Winter season, they have a big tent to keep you dry as you enjoy your time there. Add Sattui to your list of wineries to visit; you won't regret it..Visited January 2023Written January 5, 2023

- Migdy M4 contributionsCheers! What a wonderful start to our trip! This was our first wine tasting of the day and we had an amazing time. The winery is beautiful. Ed was our server and he was amazing! He guided us through our tasting and took the time to converse and engage. He was genuinely interested in making us happy customers and we were! He went out of his way to make this a wonderful and memorable experience.Visited March 2023Written March 12, 2023
- Randy FPinckney, Michigan945 contributionsVery niceI read some other comments about the wine tasting being not so good. We just stopped in on our own, no reservations. We didn’t want to do any tasting. We just wanted to look around. As we were looking, Justin I believe was his name, can over to offer help. We were offered many samples without having to pay. We ended up buying 6 bottles and having them shipped home. Very beautiful place.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 8, 2023
- cysocial2023Colorado Springs, Colorado6 contributionsThe best of wine country picnicking but overpriced for portions and variety of hot dishes,This place is a standard for St. Helena. ALL the wines are excellent AND they have fresh grape juice from wine grapes. Unbelievable. We went 2 days in a row with different couples. The deli is a pricey and the hot food was limited to only 2 items, maybe because this is still early in the season and weather has been blah. I would have liked to have seen fish of some kind offered. Also the prices are not justified by the quantity and the face that you are NOT getting any kind of side items.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 4, 2023
- 192CR20 contributionsBest tasting on weekdays to avoid the crowds and get better experience.Nice picnic area but must buy food from their well stocked market which had so many cheeses as well as sandwiches, salads, breads, etc. A bit expensive but expected at a Napa winery. Reservations required for the wine tasting. Napa is getting very expensive for wine tastings everywhere. Here, $50 for a sit down tasting but portions were very small but the server was knowledgeable and friendly. provided an extra tasting pours that was not on the tasting menu.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten May 16, 2023
- Miranda H7 contributionsA beautiful, traditional winery aesthetic (and easy to get to).Reservations + tasting were a little pricey, but the estate is beautiful and there's so much room outside to sit or picnic in. You can grab a sandwich from the deli and enjoy it under some shade outside. It's one of my favorite wineries for the aesthetic (and the wine, of course). It's right off the main road that runs through St Helena, so it has easy access.Visited September 2022Traveled with friendsWritten June 22, 2023
- SunandSand_St_LouisSaint Louis, Missouri52 contributionsDon't miss this gem!!First time back in about 15 years, and it didn't disappoint. While they do offer tastings, we were looking for a nice winery to just enjoy a bottle of wine and food on our own schedule. They have a fantastic deli with hot and cold options, as well as your typical charcuterie options for purchase (salami, cheese, crackers, spreads, bread, chocolates). We had the Cubano sandwich, a turkey sandwich with cherry spread, broccoli salad, and some shrimp. All of the food was really tasty. They also have a large tasting bar with very helpful staff to help us pick a wine, which was excellent by the way. There are a lot of picnic tables in multiple areas in the front shaded grass area as well as amongst some trees to the side of the winery, There were many benches for seating, too. It seemed to be family-friendly, as we saw people with children playing in the grass area. The winery does get very very crowded, so I would recommend getting there earlier if you want to be sure to have a table or bench. Otherwise, bring a blanket and you can find a spot on the grass. I need to make it back to this winery before another 15 years passes.Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 1, 2023

The grounds were beautiful and Jacob, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable. Not only that, but he was extremely entertaining. If you have any questions, he has your answers. Like dad jokes? Join the wine Club and get the member exclusives. We absolutely love V. Stattui. My only suggestion is if you spend a min amount give us the plates and Tableware. A $100++ for lunch then an extra $2 for Plates ???? Otherwise your place is fab!Visited July 2023Traveled with friendsWritten July 22, 2023

This is my default lunch stop every time I visit Napa Valley. I love the market and the picnic table setting in the garden. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, and reservation is not needed. The place is photogenic as well. Their wines are good and reasonably priced.

This place is really pretty and worth the trip. We ended up going here from the Napa wine valley train. If you love, sweet wine, this is the place for you. My friend and my mom love sweet wine and they got to taste a lot of the sweet wines they had at the bar. They also have a cute little shop and cheese shop! Service is great! Was super fun to taste wine here!

Tasting start at $45 per person and most featured 5 wines. The inside tasting room also has a wonderful deli/bakery area and wine and gift shop. You can purchase delicious sandwiches and cheeses and eat in the picnic area. The staff was very pleasant and were not pushy or stuffy like some other wineries. A must stop if you are in the Napa Valley area.

You are better off stopping at Oakville Grocery. The wine is awful, burn your throat level, spill on the ground territory. Skip this place .

I had been here with a friend before the pandemic and had a lovely time. However this time I regretted stopping here. It’s like the Disneyland of Napa now, including the brusque, unfriendly tasting staff.

Enjoyed our tasting here out in the garden area. Beautiful view, good wine, and a store onsite selling all sorts of charcuterie, snacks, ready meals to take on a picnic or back to your hotel, and lots of souvenirs. Our sommelier in training was very knowledgeable and friendly. Fun time here!

We got plenty of attention from Ed V. Sattui had one of the better wine quality to price point offerings across their wine portfolio. Would definitely go back. Planning a trip for September. Can we get lunch and glasses of wine without booking a tasting? Trying to plan our trip to maximize our time

Yes, they have a little market where you can buy prepared foods. You can buy a bottle, but not sure about glasses. You can take it all outside and enjoy at a picnic table. However, this was our favorite winery to visit, so you might want to consider a tasting. Do the cheapest one which is adjacent to the market.

We would like to visit here to buy some wines without tour. How much is it for just tasting? And, it is redeem by getting some bottles?
We are two people, and one is a driver. Is it possible to share one glass?
I understand the tasting fee is included for the tour fee($35), and if one person does not do tasting, do two people can join in the tour with one tour fee($35)?
Thank you for your help!

Hi, we have a Cellar Pass Passport which includes a tasting at this vineyard. Which tasting is included with the Cellar Pass?

We just did this yesterday. The traditional tasting is included. We were very pleased with the selections (everyone there was receiving the same types regardless of type of tasting it seemed). Our host was very knowledgeable and we received a few small pours as well. Definitely recommend with the cellarpass and then grab lunch on the grounds.

Anyone know how long you spend here? Just wondering so I can figure out my itinerary. Thanks in advance.

The price included three tastings, so it depends on how quickly you drink. If you have an itinerary with many stops, you should be in and out within 45 minutes without having to rush.

Anyone know if you can walk from v.sattui winery to hall winery. They are very close and when I map it out it says 8 min walk or 1 min drive. I’m just wondering if anyone knows if it’s doable to walk between the 2 wineries. Thanks in advance.

Does any of your tour personnel or wine pourers speak Italian as well as English? We have family coming here to visit for the first time (we live in Danville, CA) from Matera, Italy next month (mid-October). Same question for Castello di Amorosa...??
ColoradoJ

We ran into an Italian host at Castello di Amorosa in August 2018, pouring wine for the tastings. He had only been in the U.S. for a few weeks and was working in Napa Valley for experience to take back to his families' winery in Italy. But I don't think you can count on that -- it'd be hit or miss whether someone was available when you were there. I agree with other answers that both wineries seemed to have a diverse employee base which might increase the odds.

Does anyone know if we can bring a good 10 month old with us in a stroller? Some wineries frown on it. I want to know if we are welcomed before we just show up. Also would we be able to do a tour?

I saw a lot of children of all ages when visiting this winery. I can't imagine it would be an issue.
