Kind of a rugged little beach but off the beaten path, nice and quiet on a summer weekday. Pleasantly warm and shallow water for a good way out so you don't have to worry so much about the little ones.

Hearts desire is a favorite place of mine for a quiet trip. I love all of the Tamales Bay/point Reyes area. This is just a beautiful place to be.

Visited this beach while exploring Point Reyes with my daughter and we really enjoyed the environment. We relaxed on the beach and took a hike on the Indian hiking trail .

Minimal entry fee per vehicle. Tons of picnic tables to sit and enjoy lunch. The water stays shallow for quite a ways in so the children can enjoy comfortably. You can hike in the surrounding woods. We visited during the week but Ivan see how...More

I didn't see any RV parking nearby and I don't believe any facility is available. Call the Pointe Reyes Chamber of Commerce tomorrow, they can help you with your question.

The Tomales Bay SP website states,"Dogs are not permitted on the beaches or trails." See page 470 of CA parks.gov website. Sounds like the park is ok as long as you don't hike or go on to beach or area around the beach... More
