About
Eberle Winery is a family-owned producer and marketer of premium wines, representing the Eberle Estate, single varieties and designated vineyards. Eberle wines have showcased the history and diverse flavors of the Paso Robles Appellation since 1979. Gary launched his career as a winemaker and as the “Pioneer” of Paso Robles Wine Region by helping to establish his family's Estrella River Winery & Vineyards. In the late 70’s, he decided to pursue his own project and acquired nearly 64 acres just down the road from Estrella River Winery. Shortly thereafter, Gary released his first Eberle wine, the 1979 Cabernet Sauvignon debuting the iconic boar logo, depicting the German origin of the name Eberle, meaning “small boar.” Reservations are now required to visit and can be made online or by calling us. We have changed up a few things so that we can provide a welcoming and safe environment for wine tasting and bottle service. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Exquisite
We had a wonderful experience at Eberle. The short cave tour was interesting but not overly long and the outside deck overlooking the vineyard provided a perfect atmosphere for wine tasting. The wines were lovely and we were even able to watch some of the grapes come in while we were sipping. We added a few extra wines and snacks to our complimentary tasting, as well as taking a few bottles to go. Highly recommend Eberle!

    Outstanding Afternoon
We had a wonderful afternoon at Eberly Winery. We made a reservation for a tasting and tour of their caves. We got a taste of their Chardonnay as we waited for our tour. The tour was about 15 minutes long and we had a great tour guide that led us through the winery’s process and answered our questions. It was a group of six of us on the tour and after the tour we all sat together for the remainder of the wine tasting where we all agreed the various red wines were the best. It was a hot day, but sitting on the covered patio was fine and the large charcuterie purchased gave all six of us enough to nibble on as we tasted the wines. Eberly treated us well and their tasting is free! We highly recommend this place.

    Terrace Tasting and Wine Cave
A delightful experience tasting excellent wines. We enjoyed the wine cave tour and then a relaxing pleasant time tasting wine and purchased a delicious cheese box. The wine tasting is free which is a rarity but their wines are so good you will want to purchase some. The rosé was excellent even though not a usual choice for us.

    Cellar tasting: worth the upgrade
We had a pleasant cellar tasting and cave tour. There was a bit of a wait after we were greeted by the owner's black standard poodles inside. The tasting took place on the covered terrace outside looking out over the vines. After trying the rose, we were taken on a tour of the caves, which was very informative. The rest of the tasting was back on the couch on the terrace; leisurely and informative as well. I think it's worth springing for the $25 tasting (waived for wine purchase), since the free tastings looked like a bit of a cattle call. We didn't try the cheese or charcuterie boxes, but they looked good at the next table.

    Cave Tour Wine Tasting Eberle
We had a cave tour and pairing this year. We stop here every year and really enjoy their wines. This year was the best so far with our tour. The lady that took care of us was tremendous with plenty of knowledge of the wines. She told us the history of the Winery and Gary Eberle's plac in Paso Roblas wine making. This is worth the time and money.

The view is nice with easy access to Highway 46 and not far from 101. The wines are enjoyable. There are many other wineries close by as well.

Staff seemed rushed and using a memorized script. We weren’t asked about the types of wines we liked, how we enjoyed wine, do we have wine storage or anything else. When asked if we like the current tasting, we nodded and then there was a rush to pour the next tasting. No discussion on our thoughts, likes, dislikes or how a different bottle might be or not be to our liking. There was absolutely nothing about the staff experience that was enjoyable. We did learn the owner likes a bottle of white for breakfast and then two bottles of red throughout the day. A bit of trivia for any future visitors.

I simply don't get it. We booked Eberle based on tremendous reviews, but our experience was very poor. The wine tasting was free, but that is about it for the good qualities. Our hostess offered no information on the wine, dressed in a stained t-shirt, and rushed us through the tasting. She literally poured our glass, went and got the next bottle, and stood over us trying to rush us to the next taste. When we booked this there was supposed to be a cellar tour (which might have helped the rating), but we were informed that they weren't holding tours that day. The wines, in our opinion, were uneventful. To wrap up the visit our hostess poured our last glass, went and grabbed her tablet, and hurriedly asked us to order our bottles of wine well before we were even finished. We did buy a bottle each as a courtesy, but this experience was not at all what we were expecting, and easily the weakest stop on out 2 day tour of wineries.

We did the tasting and cave tour, and really enjoyed everything. We also had a charcuterie tray during our tasting, and it was very good.

Excellent wines! Patio was nice and staff was attentive. Award winning wines. Owner is there most days and is willing to hang out and talk about wines. We missed the cave tour. Will need to come back
