This is a beautiful place for a quiet walk. Great opportunity to bring kids to see flying birds, ducks, cranes and even seals! (I saw one there once). There is a cute little nature preserve center (the old sea scouts building). Great for adults, walking...More

You can see migrating birds, pelicans, herons, egrets, and many many other species of birds at this beautiful preserve. Flat hiking trail, stunning views (especially at sunset) and always a pleasant experience.

Surprised to have a delicious rueben sandwich close by at Bayland Cafe located by Bayland Golf Course which just opened a week ago(formerly Palo Alto Muni course). Great service and beautiful setting, too!

Lovely space, especially the Duck Pond area. Great walking trails and photo opportunities especially if you are a bird lover. Parking was open but likely due to the fact that I went on a very cold day (for the Bay Area). ;)

These marshlands are the largest around San Francisco Bay. Hiking, biking, a lake, a restaurant and some of the best bird watching in the state. A true gift.

This hike so wonderful! There are several trails you can take and it's dog-friendly as long as they are on a leash. It's beautiful, peaceful, clean and has a nice cool breeze!

Most of the trails are dirt or gravel and not really paved--it's not the easiest for strollers/wheelchairs.
