Nothing exciting about this walk. It's to hot and it looks like ghost town out there. They don't really offer anything. Most of the stores, shops, etc... were closed because no business

Very enjoyable evening walking around the Thursday Fair. Great vendors, great snacks along the street. Many places to choose from to eat.

Palm Springs has done a nice job in showing off their city. Our first visit from Minneapolis. Marilyn was great. We enjoyed walking the town searching for good food, and looking at the walk of stars. We loved Isabelle by Julian Voss Andreae from all angles. Check her out! The Babies by David Cerney is a cool exhibit across from huge Marilyn. Makes you stop and think. Isn’t that the idea of all great artists?
We loved the historic museum, the art museum, the open restaurants, the stars all over the city walk ways.

Thinking this would be comparable to the walk of stars in Hollywood, we were disappointed. Didn't even recognize most of the ones we saw.

Can't miss the big statue of Marilyn Monroe in the iconic pose from 7 Year Itch movie. Locals think it's ugly, but I enjoyed seeing it.

The Walk of Stars is a fun idea, but the "stars" were mainly locals who had done good deeds and who are not famous outside Palm Springs.

How many stars do you know? Well, the older you are the more you will recall the Palm Springs Walk of Stars. So much fun! Especially if you are strolling with an ice cream cone!

The walk is part of the sidewalk and follows several blocks and there are shops and restaurants and coffee all all. We didn't make a separate trip--just was a part of our seeing Palm Springs. You can look down and see names for as long as you'd like and then move on. It's interesting but we were not interested enough to look at every name. Hope that helps and enjoy.
