Very rude people that work there be sure to put your money in the box if you don't have cell service like our phone never works there we can't get service and we have the sheriff's come and try to remove us they did remove us actually and they said we didn't pay prior times please don't trust the employees there they're very devious and not very kind the lady that works the front gate is very nice she's the only one you can trust

My family and I went for Labor Day weekend 2022 and to sum up our experience in a one word… GHETTOVILLE !!! Nasty water, overcrowded, loud annoying music (including mariachis) and too many pot smokers! Apparently all Woodward lake cares about is the money. I will never be returning to this crappy place again!!!

It's close to a communist prison camp there's so many rules can't even swim in the water too many duck turds to walk around
Don't bother buying a yearly pass can only use lake part of the year what a waste of money and water very very sad

Beautiful day in the sun with the warm water, day trip. Paid $15 to park bathrooms were clean and the sites are open. Open to Stanislaus County residents only.

Its a great place to take the Grands. BUT check their website before you go. Due to Covid-19 they are not allowing day use if you live other counties and are canceling overnight camping. reservations.

Worst place ever

I got there around 2pm and while looking for a spot we got a flat tire I asked the sheriff if they had any tools we can use when they passed and before I even finished my question it was straight no no super rude I called a family member to bring us a tire and tools and called the office if it was ok that they bring it in because we were stuck and they said no I had to pay when I already paid basically 46 bucks for boat two dogs and two cars to not even be able to get in the water at allllll here it is 7pm finally got tire changed and decided to head home the front people weren’t even kind customer service sucks they’re more worried about their money than even giving me a refund for doing absolutely nothing but being stuck in the parking lot. Even my cousin who came with tire was disabled and wanted me to provide paperwork to get charged the 5 or she was going to charge me yet another 15 it took for me to get mad that he was only bringing me tools and tire for her to finally give me the discount to come in super rude people will never come here again worst experience ever!!!!

Great Family Fun

We have been going here for over 40 years. It is way more crowded over the years are there is a common occurance of incidence that require county sherriff involvement. But its a cool place to enjoy the water with shallow water for children. it was better when it was primarily a sailing lake. Motor toys have taken over.

Good lake for camping and boating. Also, a great place to go on a hot afternoon for swimming, paddle boarding, and an easy picnic.
