What a fantastic view. There are benches on top of the bluff and a steep concrete path down to benches about half way down and then the path continues to the beach. We sat at the different levels for a while and enjoyed our time. Great views of the beach, the entrance to the harbor and Catalina. We were there in the winter so there was plenty of free street parking.

I am finally sharing my absolute BEST treasured spot in all of OC. I have been here countless times, throughout the seasons. It even takes the icing over Crystal Cove and Laguna Beach, so I am setting the bar very high! Off the beat and path, nestled in the secluded residential community of Corona del Mar - off a limited stretch of Ocean Blvd, overlooking the cliffs...

Inspiration Point and Lookout Point in CdM (Corona del Mar) is my FAVORITE serene ESCAPE for introspection, reflection, and taking in the ocean breeze, without getting any sand in my shoes or getting my feet dirty. :-) BEST part!

Prime coastal real estate, with stunning ocean and harbor views, surrounded by large multi-million homes! Looks more amazing when you are standing here. Pictures do not justify the true ocean's essence and beauty, especially during sunset! WONDERFUL for picnics, a stroll, and jogs too.. You can go down the stairs for a barbeque, fire pits, and even rock climbing.

Get ready to capture your breath when you take a stroll here, complimentary street parking throughout Ocean Blvd and neighboring residential streets!

Warning-do not park across the street! No parking zone yet people are so by the sunset, they park anyway and get tickets while they watch the sunset across the street unknowingly. The traffic enforcement doesn't wear police clothes or drive a police car. I've seen people park in front of him while he is already giving a ticket to someone else in front of them! LMAO

Join the crowds watching the sunset each evening. Bring a blanket and a picnic, the neighbors and their gazillion dollar homes got nothing on you!

If you are old enough to remember Gilligan's Island this is where they filmed the SS Minnow heading out to sea. Lots of dog walkers an local regulars. Friendly vibe and great sunsets. You can walk to Big or Little Corona Beach from here.

I have been going there since 1991 to watch Sunsets. The place is quiet and gives you incredible views of the sunset. Every now and then you will spot a Seal or a Dolphin playing in the waves.

We have been here a few times. We usually arrive late morning with a coffee in hand. The point overlooks Newport Harbor and the Corona Del Mar beaches. There is free on street parking. We have met a few very friendly residents, offering some nice conversation and some points of history about the area. The point is beautifully landscaped and well maintained.

It was so beautiful!! So many people gathered to watch the sun sink into to the evening horizon.

Word of advice, get there a little early to find your spot, bring a snack, a blanket to sit on and maybe a good glass of wine to enjoy the view.
