Nice Vineyard, but you can tell it is moving in the direction of a commercialized experience and losing the family touch. I would spend my time/money elsewhere next time.
It is sad, as there is great history with the founder and this vineyard, but the ambiance and experience tell you that they are focused on turning a profit above all else.

PROS: The view was fantastic and the wine was good. It is a nice French touch in the traditional California cab world, however they are certainly proud of the wine (prices). It was not as good as the pricing; Better wine for the price elsewhere.

CONS: Felt stiff, and expensive. A very modern building with a pretentious feeling about everything. Upbeat music like you would have at a rooftop bar downtown somewhere; not what I would expect for a quite afternoon in Napa Valley. It all felt purely transactional, like any run of the mill bar.

There are many more genuine winery options in the Valley.

Yes, this is true: absolute perfection. We arrived in the morning and decided not to go for the testing - it was too early. However, Clos du Val Cabernets and Merlots are some of our favorites, so I ordered a glass of their divine Merlot to start the day. Unexpectedly and despite the fact that we were not tasting wines, we had a wonderful wine guide, who told us about the wines, the owners, and the architects of their beautiful estate. The interior of the winery and the terrace is a shining example of the most exquisite modern architecture in graceful harmony with natural light and the vineyards. We are very grateful to our host for his detailed explanations and very personal approach to his customers. I am not even mentioning the vineyards themselves - stunning beyond description.

We got the best seats in the house facing the vineyards. Problem was there were too many fat flies around us and our wine glasses. It was hard to enjoy with flies around the entire time making this $75 tasting not worth it.

Three of us went for the Hirondelle House tasting on a beautiful afternoon in mid October. They have a new tasting room here, and the outdoor setting is gorgeous. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t end up buying any wines to ship home as we thought they were good but over priced.

Half of the tasting room at Clos du Val is outside, right next to the vines which at this of year are changing color. Even when taking into account the high standards of Napa Valley tasting guides, CdV stands out in terms of engagement and knowledge. I've learned so much about the land, family history, the art of wine making... the wines (cabs sauvignon, franc, blanc) were uniformly outstanding.

Beautiful property, but didn't offer anything that would entice me to go back. Our host didn't offer much insight into the wine aside from what was described on the paper. She was young, and admitted it wasn't her passion. Wine was good but felt overpriced. The complimentary charcuterie offering was appreciated.

They have a barn that offers by the glass options without reservations, which gave an impression that it's more of a quick stop along the way vs. design your day around stopping there.

One of the two best winery experiences we had while in Napa. if you visit, ask for Diego as your host, he is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very relaxed and easy-going, he made our experience wonderful! The wines are phenomenal, from the Reds to the whites. There Cabernet Sauvignon’s and Cabernet Franc’s are incredible! We are not Chardonnay drinkers, but bought two bottles because of how good theirs was! Beautiful setting, sleek and modern, go there you won’t be disappointed!

Outstanding wine. Great tour. Not a glamorous facility, but if you can make it on a weekday, a private tour is yours for the having since it's not overly crowded. Our tour guide gave us samples from their 2000 cab reserve straight from the fermenting vat when we went that summer. It was out of this world. A real hidden gem in Napa.

I was told to visit this winery by my hotel, but if I knew that I was going to be treated like sh** I would have never gone. They were rude and acted as if we were invisible. The only thing I could figure is that because we're in out mid-twenties and not our 50's or older they decided we weren't worth the customer service. There was two older women working the tasting bar and they walked past us about 10-15 times in all and completely ignored us, even when we were trying to talk to them!!!
One of the women yelled at a group or twenty somethings as if to scold them for paying for the tasting first!! It was the worst winery I have ever visited and they have lost my business forever.
I would never go there, it's not worth it when there are so many other better wineries.
If you want to have a nice time at a great winery check out V. Sattui!! They're the best.

This winery was a gem. read the past reviews.
But they are pumping up their image and pushing the 'were part of the great tasting ... bla bla bla' But what have you done since??? I ask you?? Re branding your self a luxury brand is not sitting well. Heres what wrong with my last visit with five friends.
1. They have discontinued a ton of their napa products. So value is gone
2. Appointments are required. Saw so many people be turned away mumbling terrible things in the parking lot.
3. Their Stags leap juice is not that good and expensive.
4. Staff are hard wired to push and push and push sales, wine club and that stupid Corivin. Our taster said they get a bonus for those sales.
5. Two kinds of tastings one in that old fun room. but now you stand wordless at the bar or go into the barrel room for a dark intimidating tasting
6. The staff that built this place the past few years have all quit or were fired.
7. The property is in shambles. Cabana's gone, picnic tables gone, bathroom still a disturbing mess. UGH!
8. Last pick up party was a joke. We went back in hopes the experience would be better but no ....

My girlfriend quit the club and we will find other places that want our money. It certinally won't be the cookie cutter, wine stations and lame history crap that Clos du Val, Stag's Leap, Caymus, and Phelps spout from their well trained car salesman staff.
Regusci is two doors up. I am going there
