Heard great things about this canyon preserve so took a hike thru. It WAS pretty with lots of wild flowers, but we had hoped to see some mammals or snakes, and we didn't. Beautiful bird sanctuary though! Many many hummingbirds.

You could determine that from google maps, but depending on your location in Palm Springs, it would be about a 20-30 minute easy drive.
