Mendocino has no shortage of amazing coasts. The rocks and the birds and the seals were breathtakingly beautiful. Lots of cliffs and long shore views. Wonderful walking on the beaches too.

5 hours from Ferndale to Sonoma.. Little towns, Elk, Gualala, Skotia, Mendocino. All beautiful coastlines with rugged terrain. There are several walks along the coast. Actually I think the one in Fort Bragg is nicer than the one in Mendocino. Also, the private garden walk in Fort Bragg is worth the admission price.

It should be easy this time of year but in the summer you must book to get a good hotel or guest cottage.
