Neighborhood: Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

    Magical Experience
As soon as I checked my books and entered the bookstore, I never wanted to leave. I spent about 2 hours browsing books and taking pics of all their cool art exhibits. There's even a little Art Gallery upstairs and you can buy the works on display. Some artists also had little shops upstairs. Very mellow and chill. I'll definitely be back :)

    Bookstore AND An Experience
What makes this bookstore so great is that it's worth visiting even if you have no intent to buy a book. Everyone visiting MUST walk around the displays upstairs - they are so unique and it is fun to take pictures! There are also some artists upstairs you can check out. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star is that the bathrooms were pretty dirty.

    Wonderful Experience!
I could spend hours here looking at all the genres of books that I love! Walking in the door, I did feel a little overwhelmed, but once I understood the way things were arranged, it was so much easier to walk around and search for what I wanted. The boutiques upstairs were unique and seeing the artwork (for purchase) on the wall was great because they were local artists. I will definitely be vistitng again!

    Huge bookstore
The store is huge with a very large selection of books. You could spend hours in there looking through everything! Yes, there are tourist photo ops throughout the store, but once you're done with that, stay and shop for books.

One of best bookstores, hidden treasure
One of best bookstores our family has been too. Prices are reasonable and it is really nice just to be in there, a little surreal. I think train might be better, there was not alot of parking. It is also near Grand Central. We didn't go there, but I think if I were to come here, I might have parked there, walked here, then went there to eat.

The Last Bookstore on The Cristopolis Show
The Last Bookstore, located in Downtown Los Angeles is a book lover’s dream. Located at the intersection of 5th & Spring St., it offers a wide variety of new and used books, vinyl, and other physical media. In an era where everything is becoming increasingly digitized, the magic of being surrounded by physical media is especially unique. Art made out of books, and creative design concepts make ‘The Last Bookstore’ a selfie hotspot. Several movies have also had scenes filmed here to include the Oscar nominated film, ‘Gone Girl’. Tune in to tour the most awesome bookstore I’ve ever seen, on The Cristopolis Show (YT / IG @cristopolis)

Worth a visit, especially the top floor
We heard a lot of great things about this bookstore and we decided to pay it a visit. It has a great selection of books and the upstairs artists' section is very interesting. Loved all the creations with books that were everywhere on the first floor. If we didn't have a tight schedule that day we would definitely have spent more time there.

    Hidden gem
Not just a book lovers delight but also great for those interested in music, CDs, history or even Instagram worthy spots. Spread over two levels, you’ll find all kinds of rare books here. There’s also a cafe and merchandise for purchase. There’s a shelf with $1 products comprising mostly cds but also some books. They take your bags at the entrance and return it when you’re leaving. Be careful of people hanging around outside and down the street asking ‘for change’ etc.

Not the last visit to the the Last Book Store
Well worth the trip to Downtown LA, which is an interesting area but you must keep your wits about you. The bookstore has so much to see and great artists have residence upstairs. The sci fi collection of used books is pretty good. Honestly it’s more about the vibe and interesting books and crannies of the bookstore that were the highlight.

If you enjoy bookstores, you'll love this place! It is a hidden attraction that you wouldn't normally find just walking around the main tourist places. The first floor is "kind of normal", so find your way upstairs! The second floor is a small maze that you will enjoy as you look at the book selections, and the "decor". It has a short tunnel made of books where people take their pictures, and a safe that is decorated according to the book theme -crime.

What a lovely bookstore! There are so, so many thoughtfully organized books in delightful arrangements. Explore the little books and crannies in this gorgeous building. I was surprised to see a mini-art gallery upstairs, alongside some quirky shops. I’ve been to bookstores around the world and this one is a highlight! There are ample seating options (with time limits, thank goodness). They even sell records! Highly recommend for any book lover visiting LA!

Loved this book store. Spent several hours here. Area around it is a little iffy, (I also am just visiting LA, so im kinda just not used to the city 🤷‍♀️) so I went with someone else. Totally depends on where you park though. I parked in a garage for about $20 just down the street. I got a book from 1898 that has cool writing and a signature in it. I found quite a few with signatures and things. Really really cool!! Great in general selection. Super good pricing to for most of it. There's even a one dollar book section! Lots of vinyls too.

Very cool space. I got some great fashion and art books. I loved the artists and vendors upstairs also. It’s a pretty large store and has an elevator to get to the second level
