Amazing first surf lesson with Mike! He was so patient and helped me catch my first wave! Highly recommend for beginners or novices looking to refine their skills!

I came in as a true beginner and had a fantastic time out on the water with Jared. Really patient and instructive start to finish. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Teachers are great and make this such a fun experience. There are a lot of companies doing this, but STOP right now and book these guys! They are nice, friendly, and make it worth every penny. Just show up and they have everything ready for you. They even take really nice photos of you and will share them with you after.

Our family had an excellent experience with Mike, our teacher from Learn to Surf LA. We did one morningprivate lesson with him; all of us were up within a few tries! They were easy to work with & we would recommend their outfit for anyone wishing to take in sun, sand and surf in LA!

We had a private lesson. We were both new to surfing and our teacher Jared was excellent. He explained all the basics before we entered the water. There was so many waves without having to go out too far. Jared made us feel comfortable in the water and we both managed to be ‘standing’ near the end. Great experience overall!

Booked private for my 13 year old daughter (very athletic). John was great! He brought her a wet suit, and board, did about 30 minutes of dry land instruction, then they went out in the water at sunset beach. My daughter actually got up surfing about 4 times. He was patient with her and quickly realized what she needed to adjust and how he could help her achieve actually riding a wave in. Even if you don't get up, or just one time, it was a great overall experience and my daughter will remember it forever! THanks John!

We had a group session, but it was only us 2. It was perfect! The waves was good and the instructor was very helpful and good to explain. I caught my first waves today and did more than one. I would recommend this company! Had some good coversations as well. Thanks!

A group of us were in Santa Monica for meetings and organized two private surf lessons through Angie - she was extremely helpful and the team in the surf actually got several of us up on our boards and riding waves! Awesome!

We were a group of 5 from the UK, first time surfers. We couldn't have asked for better instructors - so friendly, patient and clearly enthusiastic about what they did. Would highly recommend! Thanks Angie for helping to organise
