Spot your favorite Hollywood stars among more than 2,700 plaques lining the sidewalks of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. Take an obligatory photo with the five-pointed brass stars, honouring accomplished personalities of the entertainment industry. Along the way, check out the handprints, footprints, and autographs of about 200 stars immortalized in the sidewalk of the historic TCL Chinese Theatre. While you can’t bring any of them home, you can pick up a souvenir at the countless gift shops lining the boulevard.     Beware don’t be nice… everyone wants your money
    Very overwhelming, looks and smells dirty…. Not what we expected… You will be harassed by the homeless and cd sellers, beware of the street people on costumes, they will encourage you to pose with them and have pictures taken for a “small donation” but Nooo we had black panther and don’t know who the female character was; very friendly at first but when I gave them 10.00 he was like do 20.00 it’s 2 of us””” I felt ripped off but oh well so I did.. then he said “oh we are separate” so I said No! That’s enough for both of you… and turn turn my back on them to wait for the light to cross the street, and “black panther” kept demanding for money and said “Sir!!! This is Hollywood!!! You should know this is not enough!” I turned around and said “ you should let people know you have a specific fare” not a donation” there’s a difference! Anyways it’s better if you just ignore everyone to avoid wasting money, seems like you can’t be nice around here because you will get charged for that…

    Great Place to Visit
    The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a good place to visit if you are visiting the LA area. You can find the stars from your favorite music artists and film stars. Be warned there are very large amounts of people, so if you don’t like large crowds this may not be for you.

    Something to see on every turn
    Our family enjoyed walking along Hollywood Boulevard, people watching and taking in the sites. Within a short distance, we viewed the majority of the stars on the Walk of Fame, the Dolby Theater, Chinese Theater and picked up a slice of NY style pizza. Also, grabbed a few pics of the iconic Hollywood sign and Capital Records building.

    Nothing Glamorous, Worth a Look
    Amazing to see this, just consider the time that you go to see it - I went really early about 8am thinking that it would be great to avoid the crowds but it felt really unsafe - there was a lot of people who seemed to be high or drunk and approaching my small children and shouting and arguing with each other. I went back a couple of days later at about 2pm when there was a lot more people around and it was a better experience. Nothing glamours about the walk of fame at all but was nice to see a couple of times and probably never need to again! I actually found the open bus tours much better for driving through it while learning about the history!

    Underwhelming and dirty
    We stayed near to here and didn't actually realise we was walking along the hall of fame due to the poor location. The street is filled with rubbish street hasslers, homeless people and was generally dirty and not at all the glitz and glam I expected. Saw so many stars in the pavement whose names I had never even heard of, not what I expected at all. Still, I suppose you couldn't visit Hollywood without going here - just don't expect greatness.

    Dirty but kind of a must do
    Had a couple of days here between Christmas and New year . We joke in the UK that hollywood is a Blackpool without the sea in short a area that is living on its past ripping off visitors in the present. Thst said Blackpool and a lot of the UK resorts that have struggled have at least tired to reinvent themselves that's not the case in hollywood .a couple of hours will do a few more if you take a tour. Area by hollywood/Highland the best .homeless all over .People trying to sell take pics all over but we never had any problems. Guess we were never on the strip after 1900 did we feel unsafe to be honest properly no but we we were much more aware and alert that whay would be called normal. Its said on here by many you do it you won't want to do it again we agree with that

    A must...
    Definitely need to check it out if in the Los Angeles area. Goes on forever. I think that the stars having to pay for the award if selected is a little weird. Many Hollywood tours to hop on in the area as well.

    Iconic spot in Hollywood
    Well, this is an iconic stop when in Los Angeles. Both sides of the road are covered in Hollywood stars names. Just stroll around and spot your favourite ones... Actors, film directors, musicians... Can#t have enough :)

    Busy & packed. Sensory over whelming. If you dont like big crowds - just be warned. It was worth seeing and to say that we saw that iconic walk of fame. You can really make this a quick pit stop (if you have certain stars you just want to see in particular) or spend a entire afternoon here. Lots of things to see. Lots of photo opps.

    Fun Walk
    Up and down both sides of the street you are able to walk and see the stars of the stars. Took a few pictures and it was a fun little adventure walk. A few varying gift shops and restaurants along the street. Double decker bus tours available. Chinese Theater was able to take some fun pictures. A quick afternoon was all we needed to get the experience.

Be Careful on the Costumed People, They cost A lot when take Pictures with them

Just be careful on the "Character People" (who are wearing costumes) along Hollywood Blvd., If you take pictures with them, it cost a lot, $20 per character, and they were 3 so total of $60 + $3 for the card fee (they can accept card payment for those who don't have cash like us! LOL). Just be careful!!!

A absolute must see! We walked up and down the walk of fame at least 5 times to find all of our favourite celebrity’s! Streets kept lovely and clean too!

I was looking forward to seeing a WALK OF FAME that was very glamorous and exciting to experience.However it was just an ordinary pavement with individual stars with their respective names of the famous actors/actresses.
In short this is not what I expected at all.

Found the nice bit..

We walked the whole length of Walk of fame. It was interesting to see the stars but I was expecting them to be in a nice area. It’s grotty, seedy and unpleasant for most of it. Lots of vape shops and street sellers - it was rough.

But then we got to the centre, with Dolby (Oscars) theatre and the Hard Rock Cafe and it was nice around there so I recommend going to this block and not venturing too far beyond it. Hard Rick cafe was great 👍

This is a cool site to see all the stars out there, but the actual area is pretty run down and seedy... lots of people trying to make a buck off of you, who you may have to fend off. It's an interesting spot to see, but I would not spend too much time here...

A walk down the memory lane…

Have heard about those place and wanted to walk on the walk of fame in LA and finally managed to on 18th of May 2023. A little information about this that The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a historic landmark which consists of more than 2,700 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. The history is that it was established on February 8, 1960; 63 years ago ! About ten million visitors visit this place annually and I was one of them !

Over-rated tourist trap!

This part of the city is only worth going to for a quick photo op at The Chinese Theatre, or checking out the pavement stars. It is full of tatty souvenir shops and homeless people (who mostly leave you alone, to be fair).

Unpleasant.

Overated, needs a clean up. Lots of closed buildings. Lots of homeless and very dirty footpaths not pleasant to walk down due to urine and pot smell. Dolby theatre out front was ok. Warned not to walk there after 5pm due to danger. Plenty of Souvenier shops and day tour bus locations.
