- amilton72Salvador, BA72 contributionsIT'S WORTH ITVery easy to get to, leaving the Hollywood region. At the parking lot, there are 3 options: 38, 50 and 60 dollars. I took the cheapest one and only had to walk a little further. Tip; Arrive early because it is a full day tour. I bought the ticket there. 159 dollars per person. Expensive, but worth it. They will try at all costs to sell you free tickets for two days, a badge holder for 20 dollars, priority entry to the toys. Don't spend your money on this. This price already includes the studio tour, which for me was the best part. The park is huge (but much smaller than the one in Orlando). There is a Nintendo and Simpsons area (for younger children) and others for all ages.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 2, 2024
- stardust_chVienna, Austria79 contributionsSeeing it once is greatBeautiful park with a well-known theme. The rides are mainly designed with animations and simulations, which can be great, but can sometimes make guests feel sick. The classic rides like Jurassic Park or The Mummy still have their charm. The Studio Tour (that's what it's all about...) and the Waterworld show are highly recommended - that alone would have earned 5 stars. Don't miss it! Otherwise a nice experience and quite expensive, including the food on site. Good, but expensive.Thank you for taking time to write us a review. We agree that both our World Famous Studio Tour and our WaterWorld stunt show are must sees! Our favorites are Harry Potter and Nintendo Land. The road cafe inside Nintendo land is very cute and we made the reservation online once it opens on the same day when we visited.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten March 20, 2024
- Michael G3 contributionsMovie Magic and Thrills Galore!Universal Studios Hollywood is an absolute blast! Whether you're a movie fanatic or just looking for a good time, this place has it all. From heart-pounding rides like Jurassic World: The Ride to behind-the-scenes studio tours, you'll feel like you're in the movies. And don't even get me started on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—it's pure magic. - ValeCagliari, Italy4,393 contributionswonderful experienceUniversal Studios is absolutely worth a visit. I recommend starting to explore the park from the Studio Tour attraction, which will allow you to admire the old film sets, and also the places where films are still shot today, a splendid and truly exciting experience. Don't miss the attraction of Harry Potter, The Mummy, Transformers, but I was a little disappointed by Super Mario. Avoid going on the weekend, we were there on Thursday 25th April and we didn't find too many people, the queues for the attractions lasted about 15-20 minutes.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 8, 2024
- Silvia RSArrecife, Spain3 contributionsA different amusement parkIt is a park with attractions based on well-known movies, and even the Super Mario video game. It is best to go for two days, because there are a lot of people and you will spend the day in lines (if you go for a whole day, you may only get to ride five attractions, in addition to the time you waste buying food, which also has its lines ). And if you're only going to go for one day, it's better to take the express pass, which supposedly saves you hours of queuing ("supposedly" because many people already do the same, especially for Harry Potter and Transformers). Whether you like the movies or not, it is still an amusement park, so you will love it if you like having a good time in these parks.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 8, 2024
- patrick.andre.matta@wanadoo.frChalons-en-Champagne, France127 contributionsA busy day between emotions and laughterA park that skilfully mixes attractions, shows and the discovery of film studios. The skip-the-line ticket saved us tedious waits. The attractions are rollercoasters, big eights, but also virtual animations. The Waterworld show is impressive with many waterfalls. The Studio Bus Tour takes us into the worlds of different films; an immersion experience where we discover the magic of the 7th art.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 28, 2024
- chveigaPiracicaba, SP568 contributionsNote 10Like Disney, Universal also knows how to do an amusement park, and this one in California may not be as big as Orlando, but it's also very fun. There are several amazing attractions, including Harry Potter, Nintendo area, etc. There is even a movie studio to visit. The problem is the number of people and the queues. Unfortunately, the ticket (which is already expensive) is twice the price if you buy it in a row. Prepare, then, to face 2-hour queues (believe me, it's normal) or, the best option possible, go to the single riders (this saved me many hours of queues in the two days I went). It’s a matter of taste, but for me the best Attraction was the Revenge of the Mummy (in the Lower Lot). A Russian mountain in the dark, super fast, and amazing (but not radical, at least has no looping). Other very good attractions: The Studio Tour (in the Upper Lot), the two Harry Potter attractions (in the Upper Lot), the Attraction of Mario Kart in the Super Nintendo World (in the Lower Lot) and Jurassic World The Ride (in the Lower Lot; this can be a bit wet). To get there is quite easy, even if you are not in the car: just take line B of the subway and get off at Universal City/Studio City station. From there, cross the bridge and take a free shuttle from the park itself, which will leave you at the door.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 24, 2024

It was full of many thrillful events with laughter and many memories that were made that will forever be cherished. The staff were so sweet, patient, and respectful which I greatly appreciate. - DutchMachineCalgary, Canada553 contributionsNice, but small parkReally enjoyed the park. Most of the rides were fun. Some of the rides can use an overhaul (minions and simpsons). Wish the park had more rollercoasters (can't wait for F&F coaster). Some staff members weren't overly friendly (at the popcorn stands) The Studio tour was cool. The Mario area is meh. The theme is nice, the ride is okay, but the upcharge on some mini games is outrageous. Would be nice if the stores were open longer after park hours so you can shop without being rushed.Visited November 2024Traveled with familyWritten November 15, 2024

Comparing it to the one in Orlando, the latter is bigger and maybe I liked it a little more, but the one in Los Angeles is quite well set up, there are two levels, the first floor which is accessed by a long escalator and the one below. (the same if you are upstairs). It is good to download the application where you have a map to know where you are and the times of the next performances, the only negative thing to highlight is the endless wait of hours? (it is the only thing that the express pass , it is not admitted, although I highly recommend the express pass to avoid the lines for everything) of the Super Mario attraction, which except for super video game lovers or small children is unbearable and short? a huge wasted time, a shame. .. otherwise it is worth it to spend a fun day

It's a different park than the ones I've been to, it's my second time in 15 years and it hasn't changed much, perhaps because I expected something better.
What I do highly recommend to anyone who goes is the following:
- If you have NOT bought the express pass (which I understand because it is almost twice as expensive) try by all means to go at opening time. The park fills up and by 11 all the attractions have a queue of at least 40 minutes.
- The most popular are the first. Jurassic World, Harry Potter and especially Transformers end up having hours of queues. Ride these first. Mario Kart is also one of the popular ones although I wasn't interested and I didn't look at the waiting lines.
- Download the park app to control the waiting hours at each attraction and the show pass times.
- It doesn't matter what day of the week you go. It is always full, so be patient and if you can and want to afford it, take an express pass to ride everything without stress and calmly. If you go on the weekend, entrust yourself to some saint....
- In Jurassic World you get wet... quite a bit. Notice if you want to wear protection
- Eating there is expensive... but in theory they don't let food in. You can try it, we didn't and maybe I would have sneaked in because I saw some with food that looked like it was from outside. If you have it, I don't know if they force you to throw it away, it could be anything.
Have fun!!

We visited on Sunday 10th September 2023 and paid for express tickets which was the best decision we could have made. We queue jumped every ride apart from Mario Kart as they don’t allow it on this ride and we were there from open to close. If we didn’t pay for express we would not have had the time to go on all the rides, this was just our experience and perhaps it is quieter on weekdays. We really enjoyed the studio tour and found this so interesting to see all the film sets etc and would recommend it. Hogsmeade was the absolute highlight for me. The prices that universal charge are high especially parking ($30 standard or $50 preferred) and all the food options inside the park, but this is just to be expected. About 95% of the rides are 3D experiences/simulator rides but that is what universal is all about. There’s quite an extensive choice of places to eat, we had lunch at Cletus Chicken Stack which was standard fast food (the corn on the cobs are awful!) it was a really hot and humid day so we were purchasing a lot of bottled water which were $5 each. We were disappointed that the stranger things ride was not open but read somewhere it’s only open at certain times ie Halloween. Overall we did have a great day, albeit expensive, and glad that we got to experience it but wouldn’t necessarily feel the need to go again.

First visit for two adults 1 day Friday August 23, 2024. We had done Universal Orlando years ago and knew that this park was smaller. We had a day to kill so it was perfect. We didn’t stay at the hotels near there or utilize parking as we have heard from further south. We choose to purchase the super Mario land $20 early admission. I highly recommend this as it will get you into the park and our early you will go down and do the super Mario kart ride. Then you can knock off the other three rides that are down there as well then work your way back up to the top of the park. It’s an odd park built in to the side of a mountain in a sense there are many escalators. The views were beautiful, but it’s also a kind of odd layout. If you suffer from any kind of motion, sickness, or get dizzy easily, I would totally skip this park. Most of the rides are all simulator type rides where you’re faced with a screen and riding through in a car. The one ride they don’t have in Orlando is the back lot tour and that was actually my favorite ride along with the mummy. The ride takes an hour, so make sure you leave time for it. There are some surprises along the way with the ride. We ate lunch at Mel’s diner. It was OK standard park food. Getting there early was the best ideas it wasn’t as hot and crowded as the day went on the crowds appeared and it did get very hot. We wrapped up around two in the afternoon. We are done mostly everything we wanted to do and didn’t have kids with us to do the kid areas. In general it’s worth a visit. If you have time to kill I wouldn’t make it a major priority. I do think it’s over priced for what you get ..if you seen the one in Orlando the only thing different is the back lot tour. The longest we waited in the afternoon was around a half an hour, 40 minutes for Harry Potter. I would not splurge on the express pass that’s an additional 150 on top of the ticket price that would be a total waste.

This is the worst experience I have ever experienced at a park.. I am disabled woman and I had to pay for my own wheelchair when the park was supposed to accommodate.. I cried three times because the rides were so small I couldn't even fit in them I was humiliated multiple times by staff and just telling me I can't fit they should accommodate everybody and every size. This is the worst experience I've ever experienced at a park Disneyland was by far the best park I've ever been to they accommodate for everybody and everyone is able to ride on the rides.. and we paid a lot of money a lot of money to be treated with such disgust from the park from staff and being humiliated..

Decent park, requires a lot of improvements. Parking was inefficient, lines to get in were moving very slow. Seems like the park needs major upgrades in technology and even the rides. Some lines were unnecessarily long and slow.
There is also very little to do there for 3-4 year olds and you have to pay full price!!! There’s one ride for young children and a very small Dino play land. Definitely Universal could add 1-2 more rides for little ones, an additional play land and some kid friendly shows and character areas
We felt we overpaid and were at a vintage park for teenagers who didn’t know most of the characters and movie rides.
The new Super Mario World is very nice to see, but it has one ride that has a 180 minute wait time the entire day. The other activities in there are additional costs!!! Seems like just another area for them to make more money when we have already paid so much

Hi there, we are so sorry to hear that your experience was anything less than perfect. If you plan on visiting the Park in the future, our shows, as well as the Super Silly Fun Ride and the DreamWorks Theatre featuring Kung Fu Panda, do not have height restrictions. While the World-Famous Studio Tour also does not have a specific height requirement, parental discretion is advised as the tour features content from PG-13 films.
You are also welcome to use our Child Switch Program. If a little one in your party cannot ride an attraction, one or two adults can wait with the child in the attraction’s Child Switch room. When the rest of your party returns, they switch so the waiting party may then ride as well. We hope this sets up your next visit for success.

If you’re interested in Nintendoland, skip this if you’re in a wheelchair.
I bought an extremely expensive express pass + early access to get into Nintendoland early in the morning and get to Mariokart before the line was long/use the QR code at the entrance to grab a spot at the toadstool cafe
People in wheelchairs cannot get to Nintendoland without taking a shuttle (instead of an escalator), and the wait for the shuttle is 20+ minutes per 2 people in line. When I got on the shuttle, people waiting in line had over an hour to wait…just to get to where the escalators took walking folks.
By the time we made it to Nintendoland it was close to a 3 hr wait for the ride, my kids were crying, and we couldn’t even get a spot at the Toadstool Cafe.
Ridiculous. Wait for Nintendoland in Orlando. There is no way they’d pull this nonsense.

Let's start by saying that I was there 25 years ago and I had good memories of it... after all this time I thought that the tour of the studios which should be the heart of this park remained practically identical (the shark, the flood) I would have expected a bit of innovation. For the rest it is an amusement park like many others with queues of at least 1 hour or 1.5 hours if that suits you. The cost is disproportionate, this is a mass of people wandering through crowded streets to find the least long queue. I'm sorry, I just wasted my money.

The Halloween Horror experience was a profound disappointment. The corporate model has the goal of maximum profit woth little regard for guest experience or value. They overload the park knowing that there will be long lines for the attractions. Even paying for early admission didn't help. Once you are on the 74 minute line they make it almost impossible to access water or bathrooms. They are essentially planning for it to be so difficult to enjoy as a regular ticket holder so the expensive tours and espress passes seem like a good value. Enjoy Halloween elsewhere don't waste your time or money. The houses are not even that good

Having been to Universal Orlando several times, Hollywood's location is a bit underwhelming...but still FUN! We went to visit the new Nintendo World. While Nintendo World is small in size, and only having one ride, it was big in experience. I can see the enormous potential for expansion! It was interactive, immaculately themed and loads of fun! I recommend making reservations immediately when you arrive if you want to go to the Toadstool Cafe. It was so cute!! And the food was good!
