We made the reservation easily using Booking app and the values were acceptable despite the winter season . The staff was very friendly and some employees spoke Portuguese with us, with is very rare in that US region . We enjoyed a lot the Hotel...More

This review is for lodging only. We rented a "hotel" room three nights as we were attending a wedding for friends. It was located in one of the buildings about 1/2 mile from the Lodge, and was disappointing. The floors were not clean, and the...More

The resort is very quiet in the summer. I have never been in the winter, but I imagine a bustling, busy, and exciting resort. There were restaurants, stores, and other venues that were shuttered for the summer. I understand why, but with NOTHING else for...More

Kirkwood has the best snow in Tahoe and some of the shortest lines. Sure, it's not as easily accessible as many of the resorts, but that's part of the charm. Stay out near Kirkwood, don't drive to it, and just enjoy the fantastic skiing. If...More

Ideal ski resort to go to with family and especially if you have teenagers. There is a suitable slope for any level of expertise. Slopes and the ski center are easy to access and there is a free shuttle service between stations. We were lucky...More

Kirkwood "collects" good snow vs. other Tahoe resorts. Since there is a parking problem it is almost never crowded and there is always a lift that has no line. Kirkwood makes little snow and has many old lifts. That is negative. The mountain has so...More

We visited with our kids. Everyone enjoyed this compact, friendly and exciting resort. The kids loved the challenge of skiing The Wall. A must for anyone exploring the skiing at Lake Tahoe. Recommended.

This classic mountain resort is just far enough away from the Casino Glitz and Glam of South Lake Tahoe that it retains it's Old School Mountain Ski Vibe - 70's style throwback! I stayed at the Kirkwood Mountain Club the last 2 years in a...More

My rating is based on lodging only. Kirkwood is a rustic resort and certainly not your typical Vail Resort....but that's why we went there. It's charm is that it is nestled in the Eldorado National Forest and is a great place to ski/snowboard. The young...More

Not many places to eat in Spring ski time, 7800, and we mainly brought food and cooked. There is a small market in the village.
