Kirkwood "collects" good snow vs. other Tahoe resorts. Since there is a parking problem it is almost never crowded and there is always a lift that has no line. Kirkwood makes little snow and has many old lifts. That is negative. The mountain has so...More

We visited with our kids. Everyone enjoyed this compact, friendly and exciting resort. The kids loved the challenge of skiing The Wall. A must for anyone exploring the skiing at Lake Tahoe. Recommended.

This classic mountain resort is just far enough away from the Casino Glitz and Glam of South Lake Tahoe that it retains it's Old School Mountain Ski Vibe - 70's style throwback! I stayed at the Kirkwood Mountain Club the last 2 years in a...More

My rating is based on lodging only. Kirkwood is a rustic resort and certainly not your typical Vail Resort....but that's why we went there. It's charm is that it is nestled in the Eldorado National Forest and is a great place to ski/snowboard. The young...More

We rented a ski in and out condo n the village of Kirkwood Mountain Resort. The condo was very nice with a view of the mountain and village. We watched the groomers preparing the mountain for the next day. Very pleasant and enjoyable. The condo...More

Resort wasn't really that busy for the quantity of runs available, but slushy conditions and a terrible lift system ruined the runs. I've skied for 20+ all over the country...junk and top class ski resorts alike. For the price, the lifts should have been detachables....More

Awesome skiing terrain, take a bit of a drive from South Lake Tahoe. Expensive if staying on the resort. This resort is a full service and isolated resort. Small village with most things to offer, but limited for an extended stay. Skiing terrain offers all...More

Great skiing and easy to get around . All the staff were great and then at night it became a ghost town. Hopeless supermarket and no evening food choices. very strange resort.

New favourite ski place, and that is even without the snow this year. The runs off the top are just the right length and grade for an advanced skier. You never tire of lapping off Chair 10 or Chair 6 and even the back bowl...More

Me and my pals went to Kirkwood on Day 2, after skiing Heavenly day 1. We all seemed to enjoy Kirkwood better. The drive itself from SLT is sweet enough. However, as beginner-ish skiers, Snowkirk kept us entertained as anything at Heavenly. Will be back!

Not many places to eat in Spring ski time, 7800, and we mainly brought food and cooked. There is a small market in the village.
